Recommend me one.

Now.

Or I shall smite you all with my stick of smiteishness.

And no Wi-Fi. It disagrees with the lesser stick of monetary funding.

BEARDS (if that is your real name),

I recommend the Linksys 4 port router. I've had one for just over a year and it is pretty good. It has a built in hub as well so me and my housemates can share our 1MB broadband connection AND play each other at RA2 and Unreal.

You can find it on Amazon for around £60.

Dying? You sure it wasn't just Win3.1/DOS that was dying?

Is it Via processors that can run without a fan? That would be the ideal solution for me: a totally silent system that can be powered with two AA batteries.

Let me put it simply, it isn't a happy PC. I don't think it ever ran for more than about 4 hours without dying.

That's why my Dad has never been allowed to make the buying decision concerning a computer since.

Er, what else could be? I'm willing ot bet a 486 produces less noise and puts out less heat as well...

I'm willing to bet a router uses nearly as much power as a headless 486 though :D

Aye, problem is I think it's hiden in my Nan's house somewhere. Also, I don't want to have to leave a whole computer powered constantly. The Lesser stick of monetary funding again complains, and that was never the worlds happiest computer anyway.
