My Motherbaord died a while back so I thought this would be as good a chance as any to get a refund and buy a diffeent one..with DDR.
I see most motherbaords support UDMA hard drives but the ones I have are ATA, I thought ATA were better because they're faster (150 now) whereas UDMA are slower..I think.
I know ATA is the 'old' style connection (39/40 pin) but old isn't always bad.
Can someone tell me is UDMAs better please :)

All ATA (Advanced Technology Attachment) is, is another name that the industry use for IDE (Intergrated Drive Electronics), are your hard drives ATA/33/66/100/133/150/166 ? but they will work on most motherboards, UDMA (ultra Direct Memory Access) is only another way of saying ATA, so UDMA 100 is the same as ATA100, so basically mate find out what speed your hard drive is (i.e. ata100) and then you can choose from there but remember most motherboard are back compatibe, the fastest is obviously the highers number, the 100 bit of ATA or UDMA stands for a maximum transfer rate (in bursts) up to 100Megabits per second.

Hope that helps.
