Right, so I'm at my new lady's place and she's got digital.
Hurrah, I can now skim through about 90 channels of crap...but I digress.

I saw something called "Kerrang: Life is Loud", which is basically The Box for angry teens in combat trousers.
Good stuff, I can catch up rock videos I've not seen since Headbangers Ball used to be on Sunday nights with Vanessa Warwick.

Unfortunately, they only seem to actually have about 3 videos.
Disturbed - what appears to be a bunch of gay men in S&M gear being emo
Slipknot - "Bleurgh Devil Blah Blah", they jump about a lot
Avril Levigne - "Why dont I have boobs, Grrrrrrr"

No Tool, no Clutch, rarely Nirvana, no Prong, no Helmet, no Slayer.
I felt like an old rocker.

I think Kerrang and MTV2 are both excellent channels. I don't see much difference in them. gonzo rules tho. Oh and by the way, if any of you have the Slipknot DVD: Disaster Pieces, do you know how to access the secret photo section?

As GTA:VC recently reminded me, video killed the radio star.

And Kerrang is rubbish.

But the radio is pants for metal. And maybe people cant afford lots of cd's, TV lets you see whats out there. But i guess it doesnt really show you a lot of different bands. Just the popular alternative ones.

I think they're pointless personally. Videos were made to fill space on TOTP, that's the only place they belong.

If you want to listen to music then do that; it's called a "Radio" or a "Stereo".

I agree. If you have to sing the lyric 'I'm still Jenny from the block' then it's a fair bet that you are NOT still Jenny from the block, but a deluded multi-millionaire with no credibility whatsoever. Hah.

They were playing a lot of the Manics a few weeks back. What were they thinking? Crap like that went below even the usual standards.

MTV2 is just as bad - basically just play muse, nickelback, sum 41 and other popular stuff. That txt thing is just ridiculous - ie. they just put on what they want.

They should have a channel devoted to Metal. With bands such as Soulfly, Pantera, Slayer, Metallica. Basically heavier stuff.
