Special Reserve are going to hate me for this.

Tesco have announced that they have a VERY large supply of PS2's, which will be availible in their larger stores.

True, it isn't fair. But the unfortable truth is, life isn't fair. Think how much worse it would be if life WAS fair and all those who have pre-ordered machines and havn't got them, havn't got them becuase they didn't deserve them.

Take comfort in the unfairness of the world.

Codejunkies carries the same story at:

Supermarket giant Tesco has imported 2,500 PlayStation 2 consoles from a "secret location" in Northern Europe last month, following a five-month operation to secure a consignment of the consoles.
It's not the first time that Tesco has upset Sony by importing its console hardware - the supermarket chain got into trouble for selling imported grey PlayStations previously when UK stocks were low.

Tesco's special purchases spokeswoman, Sue Johnson, said: "Pulling this operation off under Sony's noses, especially as it is so difficult for us to get them, is a major coup. It is unacceptable for brands to raise customers' hopes and then dash them by restricting imports to keep their brand exclusive."

The PS2's are on sale from 20th December at Tesco stores in Watford, Peterborough, Cardiff, Newcastle and Inverness - the first consignment to hit British stores since the console's UK launch in November.

Oh great, the most unfaithful shop to sell a big machine ever and they get to sell them, or maybe not if Sony doesn't like it.

I'd just like to point out that my local store, where i bought my PS2 has 6 PS2 units available Chritmas eve. Due to cancelations and the fact that all pre-orders in that shop have now been satisfied with units. There are spares :) :)

SO if ya want one - JUST SHOUT!! :)

BTW the store manager will pobably kill me as it was meant to be a secret :) oh dear oh dear

I have called a couple of the Tesco branches and they have said that although delivery is expected first thing Wed, they will not be available to Mr Joe Public until 14:00. By then word should have got around and the Q's will be hours long!!!
