There are many questions that have to be asked about online gaming via the DC.
1. Do you think Sega made the right choice waiting to release there online games later instead of straight away?. (I heard Sega had alot of problems with the internet to start with and I also heard they recieved hundreds of complaints from angry users that they were conned into buying because of the adverts claiming online gaming)
2. Phanyasy star online or Quake 3 arena online?
3. Will this craze wear away?
4. Does the games lag enough to be noticed.
5. When will they release a multiplayer compatible with 2 players from your dreamcast. (In my opinion I would think that would be amazing)
6. And finally is it gonna be worth the hassel?

Yep, It's going to have support for the Dreamcast microphone.

Which is amazing if you think about it, you'll be able to talk to people all over the world through an electronic device and lots of cables.

Sega are great at coming up with new ideas, aren't they?!

*meant in jest* *meant in jest* *ment in jest*

sheesh, the things you have to be careful of saying these days!

Ah, online gaming is it. Yes. Well i think it's a great thing and had it never been invented i would have given up the internet long ago (well, until i ended up on B.Net i never really bothered much). So, on the Dreamcast, why not? Sounds reasonable that consoles can allow you to play games not only with three other people in the same room but with another three people in a completely different country (or just down the road, which is more convenient than cramming around the same screen anyway right?). It's a good step forward and already the technology is advancing, you'll be able to play a console to PC game and it'll maybe eventually be able to get speeds of at least 128kbps. It was a good idea by Sega to have online console gaming because it made people think how much fun it could be. Without the DC people would only be able to play on the internet if they could afford a PC and the net connection stuff, but the DC gave rise to the innovation of reasonably cheap (could be cheaper but more of that to come) and easy to access internet gaming. Think they'll be able to build in super fast modems in newer consoles? We'll see eh?

There you go, as an extra point i just realised that if it wasn't for the whole console wars thing Consoles wouldn't be going so far forward (i'm quick... okay!). So i've decided i like all consoles because they can always contribute something. Yes, i admit it, this includes the Playstation, with it's whole CD thing (and of course the innovative buttons marked by shapes instead of letters and numbers, which seems to be their major selling point...).

Good work folks, keep it up. (and don't underestimate the power of shapes o*^)

1. Sega originally had a lot of problems because people couldn't get online. There were some games that had online options in the first batch released. They didn't seem to have much choice in releasing proper online games later on.

2. Phantasy Star Online looks nicer and will work much better as an online game, but as I haven't played it yet, I reserve judgement.

3. No

4. Not on Quake III. Well, not enough to make it unplayable. The thing is that it's a console, and all the special shiny hardware takes care of the difficult bits and lets you frag the night away.

5. Too much information for an arcade or fast paced action game to use on the net I suppose, but it could work for an RPG.

6. Yes.

Is that your final answer or do you want to ask the audience?
