After all this betting league malarky in here, i thought i'd try my hand at the real thing.

Just won £24 on the Celtic game.

£5 on the Lazio game.

and £4 on the Leeds game.

Quite a good night :)

Ah, but is it not the result what matters in the end?

And yes, I know we've been losing/drawing lately, but hopefully, last nights win was the end of that barren run.

I'd like to agree with you, but based on what I saw last night, I can't!

I think the odds of Liverpool being Favourites to win are based on the fact that they're better than Man Utd :D

Heh, i was kinda playing Pro evo 2, flicking over to BBC2 to catch the liverpool match every few mins and checking the Lazio and Celtic scores every few mins. Even though i only caught patches of the Liverpool game, i still saw bucket loads of chances!

Thing is though, Liverpool are actually favourites with William hill to win!

I have to say, watching that game was embarrassing. Apparently Liverpool were dominant in the first half. Glad they told me, because I would never have believed it.

I can honestly say that I haven't felt that embarrassed watching a game since Arsenal lost 6-1 to United. (Don't gloat, because we've more than made up for it!) And considering I don't actually support Liverpool or Vitesse Arnham, that's really saying something.

Poor shooting, poor defending, schoolboy errors, empty goals missed all round - I thought I was watching Comic Relief for a while there.

Thing is, you might not get very good odds on a United win. Put a quid on a Liverpool win - if it happens, you'll get a fortune, the odds will probably be that great!

Heh, they do "live betting" on willhill.com

So at half time of the Liverpool game (when they were 1-0 up) i put £2 on it being a draw. It was pretty good odds at that time and i would have won £12 back, you can imagine how annoyed i was when Vitesse hit the post and and missed an open goal in the same move!

Celtic's win covered that bet though :)

Based on watchinig the 2nd half of Vitesse v Liverpool, I'd say it's a sure winner!

Heh, i deposited the money back into to my account. As much as i would love to bet my money on United, our record against liverpool speaks for itself! Although Liverpool surely cant carry on beating us?!

Still thinking about a big bet on the weekend though. Get pretty good odds on a Everton victory at St.James. And when you consider the form Everton are on at the moment...

I think Middlesboro to win at West brom could be the one though at 6/5
