It's new mobile contract time, and I'm looking for a new phone to replace my Samsung a300. I come across the a400, which is the same but without the outside screen, and includes 8 games.

It was all looking good until I read this about it on the actual Samsung website:

"As it caters to women, this phone is equipped with female-specific functions, such as Pink Schedule & Calorie calculation."

Pink schedule?

It should be called "go on and on about insufferable agony and rightfully complain until people can't stand it anymore, but if any male complains of pain at any time during this period or not, I must say he's over-reacting, and offer no sympathy".

A typical feminist outlook on life.

Nice style, Ros. Blunt and factual, how it should be.

'Flying the Japanese flag' is probably the best I've heard though...

I would just say 'I'm on my period.'

I guess its the fact that its so polite is what annoys me.

The worst is 'I have a visitor'. Annoys the hell out of me

Not to pry, but what would you prefer it was called. I thought 'time of the month' was quite polite...

Well, if your timing coincides with the full moon on the lunar cycle...

What if you lend someone your phone to make a call?

"Ah Ros, I see it's your time of the month. That explains a lot."

You wouldn't necessarily know when your next one was, many women don't have regular periods. I didn't used to until i went on the pill, now I know down to the very day.

I guess its handy on a phone because you carry it around with you and stuff...

sounds like a big con to me.
