Rumours are made into facts, as Nintendo's new DS model has been unveiled today at their Press Conference in Tokyo.
Whilst being ever so slightly bigger in size than the DS lite and unfortunately losing its Gameboy Advance slot, it now features a camera, an SD slot, and small increase in screen size.
The DSi will also feature internet browser software.
Additionally, Wii points will also be changed to Nintendo points, and will be available to DS users, who will be able to download titles.

Yeah, they are indeed - I meant to say that it will be great if homebrewers can make use of it, doh! But I'm sure they will :)

Nice find, however I'm still happy with my chunky grey launch version so wont be getting this. Maybe if it dies one day I might look into this but I barely use it ('cept for beating my gf on Big Brain Academy)
Nice post - cheers for the info - i don't think i would use the new features enough to get it, i have an original DS. I don't use it too much but find cheapest one i could find would suffice!
Still, looks like a nice bit of Kit and if i didnt have a DS i would opt for that one.

I'm sure Nintendo will have been monitoring the homebrew scene and will be ensuring that it's pretty hard for them to get that SD slot into use any time soon!
For MP3s it will be great for those that don't already know about the Edge/M3 etc cards that are on the market.
Built in Web Browser is a good idea, if they can actually make it faster. The more robust wi-fi should hopefully help with that.
What really interests me is the games to download via the Wii. If this is only going to be for the DSi then it might tip the balance in me getting one.
Other than that, I can't see myself swapping my DS over just yet. But it also means the current DS Lite should be getting cheaper as well, which means that my eldest, who wants a pink DS, should get one next year!
