EA have announced they will be releasing Madden 2001 and FIFA 2001 on the NINTENDO GAMECUBE. Why have they given them the 2001 title, if the machine isn't released until October in the USA? Maybe it'll be out sooner than we think!
Also Nintendo are being a little weird about the name, they want it written all in capitals NINTENDO GAMECUBE, though lowercase ia acceptable Nintendo GameCube. Also it will just be abbreviated to GC in Asia, but here and in the USA, it'll be GCN.
I could add a few words in there to describe Squaresoft at the moment, I'm sure...
Only kidding.
> of Sony's mistakes.
Why oh why is there always *someone* who has to turn a perfectly reasonable thread into an anti-Sony (or other manufacturer) slanging match?
Sony haven't made 'mistakes'. They've had problems, and have still managed the most successful console launch yet, in spite of those problems.
Just accept that it is a good thing that developers are developing for multiple platforms! Granted, EA did choose to skip Dreamcast - which even as a Sony fan I still find to be an extremely odd decision.
Apart from that, few developers have ever tied themselves exclusively to Sony, so it is not a major blow or 'one-in-the-eye' for Sony, or a major coup for any other manufacturer.
'Further announcements' now include the fact that EA will be developing for X-Box.
Ah well. I'll go destroy Squaresoft if you want, if they don't make an announcement in a month.
(Oh, they will.)
And how do you know?
(Care to make a bet?)
Ok. £50
(Deal. I bet that Square will announce they will develop for Nintendo in within a month.)
Deal. It's not gonna happen...
Whatever you do, don't go to Japan with a tee shirt with the PS2 logo on. You may get killed.
Even worse, don't walk into a shop and buy a PS2 game... Remember THAT bit in Enter The Dragon... you know, near the end...
Yeah. That will happen.
I am happy.
