There once was a famous old man that had great wealth. His life was short and he knew it so he decided to make his life adventurous. The old man goes to a tattoo shop to get his eyebrow pierced at 6:00pm. As soon as he arrived he was greeted nicely by a man with torn cloths and several piercings:

Scene1

Mr. Call: Hello all.

Spike: Oh, hi sir Call. What brings you to these parts?

Mr. Call: Since my life is slim I want to make the best of it and get my eyebrow pierced.

“Mr. Call’s cold eyes brings a smile to the tattoo shop manager’s face”

Spike: Dude, that is great!

Mr. Call= Righty-o, can we begin this all ready?

Spike= Gladly.

“Spike escorts Mr. Call into a huge room that echoed through it’s shadowy walls. He then sits Mr. Call down in a wooden chair”

Mr. Call: Doesn’t it seem like everything happens for a reason in life lad.

Spike: Sure does.

Mr. Call: I didn’t really know what to do with money so I told the public that when I do die my money will be given to a random person. I know that who ever does get it will deserve it. That is what makes me think such things like destiny.

“Spikes eyes open widely”

Spike: Is that so. All of your money…

“Spike applies a gentle cream to Mr. Call’s face and shoves a thick needle through his weak skin”

Mr. Call: Uhhhh!!!

Spike: Oh!!! It seems that I have missed!!! Sorry.

“Spike lifts his arm and slams in the needle with great force”

Spike: I am so clumsy today. Sorry Mr. Call.

Mr. Call: Uh, at least you didn’t miss that time. The pain is unbearable.

“Mr. Call hands Spike the money for his service”

Spike: I guess I’ll be seeing you again Mr. Call.

Mr. Call: If destiny allows it…

“Mr. Call gets up slowly and exits the piercing shop”

Scene2

Mr. Call takes a walk through a park on a rainy muddy night with his dog Henry at 11.25pm. He walks into deep darkness that never seemed to fade. The darkness suffocated him to the point that he couldn’t see his own palm. Mr. Call’s fear began to take play and he ran uncontrollably. “BOOM” Mr. Call bumps into a still person that stood so quite that it seemed he or she was lifeless. Mr. Call falls on the floor. Sharp quick pain strikes Mr. Call in the heart. Mr. Call takes something out of his pocket and presses a button. He died seconds after.

Police found the old man 2 hours later with his whole lower jaw missing. The dog was found dead a couple of feet away from Mr. Call. It was a disturbing site. A large garbage bag stood next to him. Officers brought it to their headquarters and emptied it out. All they found inside the bag was a shiny piercing which led the police to quickly think of one suspect, Spike.

They gathered many suspects in a matter of 3 hours but it didn’t matter much to them, because the police seemed to have a hunch. They were put into a room together to talk to them all:

Mr. Grant: What am I doing here. This is outrageous!

Police officer: You all have been called here because you all have gotten into run ins with Mr. Call.

Robert Kane: I have had a couple of run ins with Mr. Call but we are still really good friends. This is just crazy. To make us come here this time of night.

Samuel Johns: Police these days are do unprofessional.

“The police officer looks closer at Mr. Johns and sees that his eyes are red and puffy. It would be impossible not to be in pain with eyes like that. He looks over to Ryan Jackson who had stayed silent for a long while. His eyes looked to have almost the same redness and puffiness as Mr. John’s”

Police officer: Were you and Ryan together just now.

Ryan Jackson: Oh course not!!!

Robert Kane: Liar!!

Ryan Jackson: You have no right to call me a liar!!

“Ryan kicks Robert from under the table”

Robert Kane: Ahhhhhhh, Don’t hit me there.

Mr. Grant: Any reason why?

Robert Kane: I have a dog bite there!!!

Police officer: Spike, you seem to be not as talkative as you normally are…

“Spike looks up at the police officer’s eyes and smiles”

Spike: I am still getting over the death of Mr. Call and now I am being accused of murdering him!!! It’s not right!!!

Police officer: I think it’s time to go now.

“Everyone steps to the door. Squishy mud noises come from Mr. Grant’s boots”

Police officer: Mr. Grant, please take off those shoes of yours. I can’t stand that sound.

Mr. Grant: You could take away my freedom but you won’t touch any of my stuff!!

Samuel Johns: Lets just leave this place.

Scene3

*The suspects are given a meal while being monitored by cameras at every corner”

Spike: So, who did this. Tell me. Please tell me who will soon ruin my life because of there little fun.

Mr. Grant: Even if one of us did do it, it’s not like we would tell you.

Robert Kane: So what do you guys do for fun.

Spike: I collect coins. I really like rare coins, but they cost a lot of money so I don’t even try collect anymore. Mr. Call gave me an expensive one today and I drove over 200 miles to see if I struck it rich in the coin collectors place….I didn’t

Samuel Johns: I was watching this 24 hour show on the usage of those darn VCRs today, but I still couldn’t do anything with my VCR.

Spike: You watched it all day! I could never watch tv that long without casing damage to something.

Robert Kane: Well, in my spare time I go over Mr. Call’s house…..that will be a little hard to do now.

Ryan Kane: Don’t complain because we don’t now if you killed him yet.

Mr. Grant: I like gardening. Er, today’s weather was so bad! It was impossible trying to protect my crops.

Ryan Kane: Um, I enjoy eating. Our family is a little low in money these days though. So I rarely eat out. I’m ok though.

Spike: All you guys are boring.

Mr. Grant: I know this isn’t any of my business, but collecting coins isn’t all that exciting either.

Spike: Shut it you…

“The police officer comes from out of nowhere and begins to take the suspect into a room”

Scene4

“As they walk through the corridors they run into a small boy”

Timmy Call: One of you killed him.

Police officer: Excuse me how did you get…

Timmy Call: Did you kill him!!!

Police officer: Security!!!

Timmy Call: You could do what you want now but when I figure out who killed him, havoc will reek through your brain. Cascades of terror will swirl around your soul until the bitter truth is revealed.

Spike:…Who are you?

Robert Kane: That’s Timmy Call, Mr. Call’s grandson.

Timmy Call: Roby you’re a suspect!!!

Robert Kane: You don’t have a dog or a grandfather anymore. How sad.

Timmy Call: Henry always hated you. I bet he has given you 7 bite marks every time you come over our house.

“Security finally comes and takes him away”

Police officer: Lets continue.

“The police officer takes them all into a small room with cobwebs lining the walls. A metal desk with plastic bags over it catches the eye of everyone who steps in”

Police officer: In these plastic bags were the things that Mr. Call had in his pockets that tonight. There is a dog whistle, a can of pepper spray, sticks of chewing gum, and a cell phone. This and other things have led me to know who killed Mr. Call. Everyone here has proved to me that they didn’t kill him except a couple of people and more facts narrow those down even more. The killer is…………..

Who Killed Mr. Call and how do you know?

OH, why did you go and tell us for? I was planning to have another crack at it this morning (when my brain functions best).

Anyway, makes sense, and well done for writing it - a great story, brainteasing and one of the best, original things I've read on these forums.

Here it is the killler being narrowed down.....

~~Everyone and what makes them suspects~~

Samuel Johns-had puffy eyes so you would think he was sprayed by Mr. Call's pepper spray

Ryan Jackson-You would think that you had this mystery all wrapped up but suddenly you remember that Mr. Johns shared almost the same eye problems as Mr. Johns

Robert Kane- The bite mark clearly was caused by Mr. Call's dog, but when did he bite him? Was it an old wound or was it made by the dog when Henry saw that his master was in danger?

Spike-Spike's alibi is very wierd. He is the one that the police suspect at first because the lower jaw was missing and the piercing was in a bag. Would he leave evidence that crutual in a bag? Or was he framed?

Mr. Grant- The words it was a rainy MUDDY night were more important than you think. When the police gathered the suspects hours after the killings, Mr. Grant came with muddy shoes. He must have been outside then but what would he be doing out on a extremely muddy day?

~~Narrowing down to the killer~~

Spike- Spike comes out and says that Mr. call gave him a rare coin and he drove 200miles to find out if it was valuable. Even if he had stopped collecting doesn't meen that if he does find a rare coin he wont cash it in. he left at 6:00 and the killing was at somewhat 11:00. That is impossible to reach without flying so Spike is automaticly eliminated from the suspect list.....but who framed him?

Robert Kane- The mysterios "friend" of Mr. Call could of killed him. Sadly though there is no imformation leading toward or against him. There must be another clue that leads to someone else.

Mr. Grant- Why in the world will he be out while it's raining at night. The information comes up that he likes to garden. He also says that the weather was terrible and it was ALMOST impossible to protect them. This statement reports that Mr. Grant had muddy boots for that reason meening he was gardening at the time and he didn't kill Mr. Call which eleminates him from the suspects list.

Samuel Johns and Ryan Jackson- They both had puffy eyes and Mr. Call pressed a button before dieing. He couldn't of pressed a piece of chewing gum, a dog whistle, and there is no point in pressing one button on a mobile phone. That meens he sprayed pepper spray! That means that one of them did it. The puffiness was at full effect so Mr. Call couldn't of sprayed them before that day. Were they together?

~~The Killer~~

The killer- Who is it, Samuel or Ryan? None of them are really didn't give any important information out.....or did they? Even though it wasn't important Samuel said that he was watching a 24 hour VCR special and he watched the full 24 hours!!! Spike said that he couldn't stand doing that without causing damage but.....Samuel didn't either. Just like me when I was playing Mario Sunshine for like forever or watching tv for the whole day, his eyes got red AND PUFFY. Meaning that......the killer is none only than RYAN JACKSON!!!!!!!! Alot of you were so very close but you didn't get ALL the facts perfectly right. Mr. Jackson did all the framing to Spike.......but how about all that oher imformation? It was just there to throw you guys off!!!! This mystery was wrotten by me and will forever be in my head as a victory over you guys.:D

Think about possible meetings prior to the killing. Must dash now, back in a couple hours.

The button could have been the Pepper spray, but surely the guilty party would have removed the pepper spray from the scene in that case?

I believe the itesm mentioned at the end were found in the man's pockets - a dying man would not put the pepper spray back in his pocket. Nor would the killer do that for him.

The pepper spray then, could be a red herring?

Alternatively, it could be planted by Spike or Mr Kane in order to incriminate one of the others.

VenomByte, the red eyes is connected to the pepper spray I think, which indicates some meeting.

Also, why kill the dog? That's why I thought it might be Kane - to get revenge for the bites.

Two things I'm currently trying to think about. The missing lower jaw, and the button Mr Call pressed.

Why would you remove someone's Jaw? It's not how you'd go about stopping someone screaming. As far as I can tell, this leaves two options. Either to hide something, or as a trophy. From the story as it reads, I cannot think of any reason why Mr Calls lower jaw would be an incriminating piece of evidence. Nothing happened to it - unless Spike's first stab with the needle hit it? I'm not sure how incrimiating that would be. Why he should miss at all is another question...

The other possibility is a trophy. Spike is the only person to show any interest in collecting, so perhaps now he's moved onto collecting more interesting things? This would certainly give him cause to call everyone else boring...

Either way, I can only see the missing lower Jaw incrimiating Spike.

As for the button pressed before he died, what could it have been? The mobile phone? If he'd called Johns, Jackson, Kane or Grant, one of them might have guessed something was up. The police found the man two hours after he was killed. That's not long. Someone had to inform them, and what are the chances that someone would walk through the park in the dark and the rain in the midight hours and find him? Not high.

Jackson has red, puffy eyes. He wasn't the one who claimed to be messing around with he VCR, either. So why the red eyes?

Crying? Worried? Was he called, or did he know what had happened to Mr Call? He hardly speaks at all, only denying he was with Mr Kane. No alibi, no known interests or connection to Mr Call. He knows something. I think he was called, or found the body, or something like that.

Damn this is difficult. More thoughts later. Need to focus on Grant and Johns...

Am I safe in assuming that Mr Call had at least some interaction with Samuel Johns that night, hence pepper spray in pocket ---> puffy eyes?
