ebuyer have a 300w psu for around £10, this seems very cheap, is it really capable of the power it says it is???

I threw my dad together a whole computer from ebuyer stuff and it is perfect at a snip of the price, i personally wouldnt buy any hardware with the ebuyer brand for my own pc but for you average person they are pretty good.

I get the impression that everthing ebuyer 'branded' is terrible. It might be a snip now, but you'll probably find out it was a false economy when your machine starts choking out five times a day.

i dont mind it being noisy, it will be used in a system with a volcano 9 and 3 80mm fans but has anyone had any experience with ebuyer own brand psu's because its a snip at that price

Enermax are good, and you can get models with adjustable fan speeds if, like me, you want a nice, quiet PC to work on. And play games.

I personally have never had any PSU probs. (He touches wood quickly), the AUT ones do seem cheap, I know what you mean, with something like a PSU it may be better to go for a well known brand.

I would be willing to bet my (metaphorical) mortgage on that PSU sounding like a helicopter and probably blowing up inside a week. Cheap PSUs = Al Queda plot.
