'MUST WIN' is not not wanting to 'succeed', that is totally different to what I'm suggesting. An individual needs to have their 'actions' recognized, if not you become p***ed off.

As for death and illness, I'm ill and I've experienced many forms of 'death' - theoretical and physical - and I'm still here, enjoying what I've got greatly and believe me, I've got less 'time' than you have:)

Or they can cheat cheat cheat dirty cheaters you cheated too Dragonlance so did Machie I know he did

It's fun being competitive I agree, as long as everyone remembers how unimportant it all is. When it comes to advancing etc, I prefer to be competitive with myself, not anyone else. I'm incredibly happy with my score because I know I answered the questions the best I could. I'd also be happy with my score if I didn't answer them the best I could because well, that's how I played

I don't understand the whole MUST WIN nature thing, I don't see how that really gets you that far. The only thing I particularly want to be aggressive towards is.. death, and being ill, and other people who are so, or in such danger. My aggression can wait till then!

When's the next quiz hurry up

EDIT: Sorry I rambled and I missed the point I wanted to make:

Back when this place was popular, there were a load of kids or people who acted very immaturely. When we had stats that were somewhat important (you could only win GAD as a regular, and you had to post a certain amount of posts and words to become one) the amount of utter rubbish that was posted in order to get there, and then even more rubbish afterwards in order to win, it started the entire breakdown that ruined the SR forums and prompted unnecessary 'change'.. in hindsight anyway

I think it'd be safer now to have more stats and such because of the small user group and the cycles of GADS between the lot of you

If complicated means 'too hard', then surely the 'forum code' at present records 'posts' and then accumulates them and produces a 'regularly' updated 'league table' already. Add a 'GAD Award symbol' to the code and accumulate this as per post per user, as at present.

As for 'bitchy and obsessed' - any individual, throughout its existence, will strive to succeed as an individual, introduce two or more individuals ie a team, and more variables are introduced to the individual's conception of 'success and achievement'.
The 'common goal' isn't always considered or appreciated by an individual unless they stand to be rewarded more than the others for their individual effort.

Quizes tend to favour 'individual success' and not 'group efforts' - blame can be apportioned far more easily within a group - an individual has to plan for and accept errors and therefore strive not to create any, as far as they can control the outcome.

Ive actually suggested this previously but it was thrown out as the idea makes things too complicated apparently.

I apologise for reading your post as.. serious..? But, er, Reaper -also- took it seriously, and that's why I was a bit concerned. And why are you telling me this, when it's Reaper who's saying he should have made a tie-breaker?

No high horse whatsoever but I just found it incredibly rude and without explanation, and the fact that you're now calling others bitchy and obsessed doesn't exactly stand in your favour!

This isn't anything personal or anything high and mighty blah blah this is just saying I didn't think your comments were entirely necessary, and if all your little moans here are in fact all sarcastic, including the one I quoted above, then apologies, but I'm finding it very difficult to tell

Reaper's excellent quiz was a 'one off' and perhaps it's because most 'prizes' are won for specific, select areas of interest and awarded by a 'group' of people on a regular basis.
A quiz tends to be - 'you know it or you don't' and is purely won on points scored, so, like the Premier League chase - points become vital and tension builds:)
Try it with the GAD awards - create a league, award points for GADs won and maintain a league, end of season see who is top - then see bitchy and obsessed:)
