I recently got a new webcam and now whenever i want to use it over messenger, it doesnt work. The old camera seems to be still setup in messenger as the defualt one. I can change it evrytime i open messenger with the audio tuning wizard, but its getting annoying now.

Any ideas how i can remove the old camera settings/drivers for good?

Wicked idea, but no, i dont have the old camera anymore.. :(

hopefully.... i thought old devices would be taken over by new devices normally.

Have you still got the old one? If you have, plug it in, wait for XP to recognise it, then right click on my computer, go to properties, then the hardware tab and click the button to go into Device Manager. Then find the cam in the list, right click it and go to uninstall, unplug it and restart the PC. That -should- get rid of it..
