Check it out

Reports are coming in from all over the place that the new Famitsu Weekly reveals a huge bonus for Japanese gamers who preorder The Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto.

The first people to preorder will receive a bonus disc that contains The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the never before released Ura-Zelda, and information and/or videos of F-Zero GC and Biohazard 4.

It is currently unknown whether Ocarina of Time has been upgraded at all to take advantage of the GameCube hardware, but this is the full and complete game. Ura-Zelda is the expansion pack for OoT that was in development for the 64 Disk Drive, but was never released. It is essentially a remix with new dungeons and possibly other new content.

Preorders for The Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto begin on November 28 in Japan. Naturally, supplies of the bonus disc are included. No word on whether Nintendo of America will have a similar deal when the game is released here early next year.

Oh God they better have this disk with the European release or I will not be happy.

:o shock shock! But going that they already translated the meat of it already for Zelda OOT, I don't think it would be too much of a challenge for them to translate the rest of it.

But I agree with you. I doubt it would be given free in Europe. Probably as much as £20 is more realistic!

As people have mentioned they'd have to translate the add on thingy for USA and Europe (and they'd have to translate it into a whole buncho languages for Europe...) so I doubt they'll give it away free. However, I'm sure many people would still buy it if it were re-released with the extra 64DD stuff, graphical enhancements or not... so it could potentially be worth Nintendos while to translate it, but I wouldn't expect it to come free with your shiny new copy of Zelda GC... Maybe they'd release it at about £15 like Resi 2 and 3 are supposed to cost when they come out? Here's hoping.

You must take into account the fact that Nintendo would have to translate URA zelda for europe and america.

I'm hoping that after this fine, Nintendo have learnt their lesson about being unfair to Europe.

I'm sure they ought to do it, after all, there's no real reason not to.

Should be good though- Zelda 64's ending was a little incomplete.
The 64DD version was meant to finish the story but was never released...

until now.

I know I just read this on SR, I sooooo hope this happens over here in Europe, Zelda is too good, it would really boost sales and so on too.

Maybe one day a proper revamp of OOT will happen, put it this way I would certainly buy it.
