I would really like to create a logo for my new site that im creating but i dont know what program to use so my first question is could you suggest a program or programs to use preferbly free but can create professional looking logos? also where there any tutorials for that program and a link to them also if any one would like to create me a logo i would be very thankful.

Try downloading the trial verson of Fireworks from http://www.macromedia.com

Its pretty good :o)

Although, you can buy Paint Shop Pro for £30 at some places.

You could d/load a trial version of Adobe Photoshop...

Get yourself some layer styles and hey presto, professional logos.

It's quite surprising how many people still use it, although, if you have more than 1 brain cell and 40Mb of free space on your hard drive, you'll download or buy fireworks or something that isn't poop.

Or you could try the free online tools, like http://www.cooltext.com or http://www.webgfx.com - they produce some pretty good results.
