Being a notable is the be - all and end - all of ukchatforums.com, but is their really any advantages to it?

Yes, you do get respect / abuse from JAT's and Newbies (depending on whether they are suck ups or fanboys) as well as being pee - coloured and put in loads of spoofs, but is it worth it?

I mean, you get loads of new regulars who go around campaigning for them to be the next notable, even though they haven't even been on the site for much more than 21 days, as well as the endless posts asking 'When is the next election.

Also, it ruins the forums just before and while it is going on (it's a guess because this will be my first election) with people talking about nothing but the elections and not about the things that are important (i.e. X - BOX SUCKS!)

I think SR should be dictators, Sadam Hussain style, offering votes on whether they want democracy and banning anybod who votes for voting. They should choose who the notable is once every 3 months

Once you weigh up the advantage of somebody (who won't be you) getting a different colour and stupid new regulars who nobody has ever heard of campaigning for ages you find that Notable elections seem stupid...

Anyway, VOTE FOR TRIBUTE!

Meh, lots of people used to win for replies. But since the splitting of FOG very few people actually REPLY to the proper topics and so not many win.
