PaintShop Pro's alright, although i'd either considering buying the cut-down version of photoshop for £70 I think..just download the plug-ins you need.
The actual MX studio (including Fireworks MX) which really is the best program to be released under MX other than Dreamweaver.

Anyway, if you can get PSP then you probably should, it's a pretty good program (Fireworks MX is better) ;) probably around the same price too!

probably get a bundle of Flash and Fireworks somewhere...

Bt with Flash being a fifth of 200 (thats....40) I may consider getting it.

I saw Paint Shop Pro 7 for 50 quid today - worth the cash?

You really shouldn't have said that.
Flash is a very good price when you consider how amazing the program actually is, i'd hate not to have it but I hardly ever use it.
Macromedia MX Studio is around £200 so i'd guess Flash is about 1/5 of that.

Heh, it's not easy to be 'creative' with a program that takes hours to use :p
I find it annoying that some of my 'good' images don't import the way they should, I blame Photoshop but I love it so much I don't get mad.

I tried making a few movies in Flash, got halfway through and though "I really don't want to be doing this" so I kept the basics in my head and pretty much forgot the rest, I really do like watching other people's Flash movies but I really, really can't be bothered to make my own. I would do if I could import 3D images into it but Swish does that :p

*cough*use Flash

I use Swish as a) I used Swish 1.51, and the natural progression is Swish 2, b) because I find Flash hard to use (though this was 2 years ago, at the age of 13, so I may be better now) and c) Swish is quite easy to use.

I know what you mean about portfolio and stuff. Need some decent work to show off. 'Weave' was meant to be professional etc, but it turned into a 2 hour muckabout with every Swish shape and effect.

The wonders of creativity :D

Heh, the musics stops at the end of the movie.

I really have no idea why so many people use Swish, Flash is sooooo much better, only ever seen 1 amazing movie made in Swish, although there is no doubt thousands around. Actually better start making some of my own, got a stupid portfolio website but nothing to show :D

lol :D I misread that and somehow thought you meant the movie sound and the end clicky button repeat played together (ie movie sound didn't stop with movie)

D'oh!
