Tonight is a deadline for my team Newcastle to get their act together and play like they've never played before to keep in the Champion's league. Its a big shame that the match is not on tonight's TV (Don't have Sky or other than that) But the highlights are still there :D

I really hope they do well in defence tonight as thats their weakness, Not heading it to the box, but clearing it!! With shearer scoring goals, Even though their game vs blackburn wasn't what i hoped it too be :'( Shearer is still in there sticking the ball in the net :)

Shay Given is not doing the best hes ever had either, maybe he tries too hard or something. That goal vs Blackburn when it just basically slipped out of his hands was kinda of painful site to see... and also the goal he passed it to hughes on the far left that was marked i think it was in the chelsea match. It got out of had for Newcastle and Chelsea got a simple goal.

Good Luck Newcastle :D

(Sorry for anyone who think this is a pointless topic but i kinda don't think it is)

See the Arsenal Vs Roma topic. You'll see that you cannot have an easy group.

I didn't think that you would qualify after the first 3 games. It's good to see that the team never gave up the nearly impossible. Just hope that you have a easier group this time.

Wow. they're are through, And at the start of the group stages who would of thought that they would win vs 3 Great teams of the champion's league and progess into the knock-out stages is it?

Anyway. I rememeber people like on match of the day saying that the light for newcastle to go through is very very slim... Well, look back at what u said what newcastle chances are too beat all 3 games... heh, Whos laughing now! :p

(No-one i take that)

The match against Feyonoord is going to be extremly gritty and tough but instead of trying to play too much fancy football they need to get stuck in and win the ball early. Robert brought a touch of elegent class to Newcastle (rather like Ginola did) but his defencive work is very poor and he has a tendency to give the ball away in situation where posession is important. I am looking forward to the game but I will also be keeping a close eye on the D. Kiev/Juve game at half time etc. One thing you can't say and thats Newcastle aren't dramatic :) I don't know if they are trying to give me heart problems but the last 10 minutesn in thw Kiev game didn't help :)

Oh well, all Newcastle have to do now is beat Feyonoord and hope that Juventus don't lose against Kiev.

It will be a tough match for Newcastle and hopefully you can get through to the second round.

:p Well, if u really have to look it at that way, (In a way that i didn't) We did have to keep winning the ball back alot heh :)

I relise now that Bobby is great when to comes to using all of his players and changing to all varityes :)

Its Strange now that Andy Griffen has come up to attack now not that its bad or anything but with bad defence, We had enough attack as it is, But 2 Goals for a defender in a week is great :D

Not an amazing performance but one that required them to get stuck in and win the ball! Ameobi in my opinion was the best player on the pitch without a doubt but I was alaso very impressed with Dabizas after he came on for bramble. The most disappointing performance for me was Robert I am not denying he didn't have a few good moments but his overall performance was poor and he needs to re-assess his work rate. Dyer was fresh, lively and very alert when he came on and so was Oliver Bernard. Role on 2 weeks from now, I don't think I can wait that long :)

Solid work!
