I haven't quoted it all, because the last part is irrelevant, being about Arsenal's unbeaten run.

Everton captain David Weir will lead the team out tomorrow against Arsenal with the blessing of the FA but in defiance of FIFA.

Under new guidelines from world football's governing body, which came into effect from October 1, players sent off are automatically suspended for the next game.

The FA, however, are retaining their own disciplinary system which gives two weeks' grace before the ban kicks in.

Weir was sent off a week last Monday in the defeat by Manchester United.

Asked if there could be repercussions when Weir plays, a FIFA spokesman said: "I can't answer that."

Everton manager David Moyes knows he needs his inspirational defender against the champions at Goodison Park.
