Right I have a P433, 64MB and about 10GB

So I thought I'd help my computer ran a bit better with some more RAM:

" DIMM - 128 MB RAM, 168 PIN, PC 100 MHz, SYNCHRONOUS. This DIMM is widely compatible. Please consult your motherboard manual before ordering. RAM can be fitted for you in any Special Reserve Shop. 100% backwards compatible with PC66. "

That one for about £20

Now is this worth it?
Is there a chance it won't work at all and will have wasted £20?
Do I really need to contact motherboard people?

Thanks

Oh God you haven't got a Zalman ffs. Send it back before you use it, you'll only realise it's crap before it's too late.

Heh, my old motherboard was only capable of taking 128Mb ram...aaww

+ Turbonutter, I know how to fit it :p just havn't done it before and don't want to have to pay another £60 or so for a new one...

Heatsinks..meh, i've got one on a movable arm, not atached to the CPU..lovely 120mm too! :D I havn't tested it yet though, it had better not sound like a helicopter!!

Doesn't work as in, PC doesn't see the extra, or it wont boot with the RAM in? Try reseating it, then stick it in a mate's pc to see if the stick is screwed or you've just got a dodgy slot on your motherboard.

Just screw it in, plug in all the little bits and you're off. The hardest part is probably installing a heatsink on lugs. I hate that bit.
