What places in the world do you feel someone must (or should, to experience life) visit in their lifetime?

Oman is an absolute must. Something about it was just... amazing really :D The heat, the people, the culture, the sea and snorkelling, the sites... the list really does go on. Forget the tourist trap of Dubai unless you want to spend hours traipsing round gold souks and shopping malls that sell tat.

Likewise, the North of Tenerife is a pretty amazing place for heat, tropical lushness and simply the scenery and sights. The sea may be a little dangerous and cold but it's amazing how much fun there is to be away from the nightclub, chicken-joint strip of the South.

Finally, Thailand was simply awesome. Everything about the Buddhist statues and golden temples was literally awe inspiring. You can be in a busy city like Bangkohk one minute then absorbing a completely different atmosphere the next.

Niagra Falls and the Grand Canyon too.

I'd also like to see some of Canada, since it was the failed destination for my gap year.

Maybe a trip to the US for Vegas and the Grand Canyon and a trip to Canada for Toronto, some vast expanses of snow, and Niagra Falls.

Cooky and I are going to Tokyo one day.
He's promised.

He'll probably try to take me to a love hotel :^(

Egypt and India both sound good too.

I'd like to see some of eastern europe as well. But I think you might need to be there some time to get the most out of it.

The Taj Mahal in India. Although you'll need a guide to get the most out of it and learn the history of the building. Probably the most impressive building I've ever seen, even in 40+ degree heat!

I think Tokyo, for many reasons. I just cant seem to think of any at the moment. I imagine you'd get a big culture shock. Seeing the vending machines selling beer, that's sure to be a big winner with some of you, i.e Smedlos :)

The super advanced toilets that are 100 years ahead of us and of course the love hotels.

I keep thinking 'PC World' because of the title now.

I'd like to visit New Zealand though, not sure if it's a must for everyone but it looks so beautiful.

Egypt. Most of the obvious tourist attractions there are rubbish really but places like the valley of the queens in Luxor are quite something.

Italy. Forgotten most of the places I went there actually, but Pompeii was impressive (if you're interested in that sort of thing).
