We are pleased to inform you that we have been appointed the official
distributor for MonsterGame cables in the UK. We expect our first shipment
to be available for sale by the first week in December. The price on the
GameLink S-Video AV300 Cable, PGL 300 SV-10 is expected to be £59.95.
This means that we will be paying twice the price for the cable over here as in the US it retails for $39.95. I have emailed back asking why this is the case but as of yet I have received no response.
Yet another example of rip-off Britain.
Might be worthwhile seeing if they will ship to the UK; at least you will only pay the advertised price... assuming you don't get lumbered with Customs import tax etc.
I started the 'dvd trouble' thread and like dave had been around the loop of changing cables to trade quality for colour etc etc....
Now I would love a cable that gave both but for £60 I think I can put up with swapping the wires. It's not like I am going to be using the DVD every day !
I think the real problem lies with Sony who have deliberately given us an inferior quality output just to protect the copy issue. 99% of us are not interested in the copying - but as usual the majority suffer because of the minorities actions.
Maybe the real Sony lead will be a little more reasonably priced......
