We are pleased to inform you that we have been appointed the official
distributor for MonsterGame cables in the UK. We expect our first shipment
to be available for sale by the first week in December. The price on the
GameLink S-Video AV300 Cable, PGL 300 SV-10 is expected to be £59.95.
This means that we will be paying twice the price for the cable over here as in the US it retails for $39.95. I have emailed back asking why this is the case but as of yet I have received no response.
Yet another example of rip-off Britain.

Hey man if it's that easy you'll already have found an alternative; I hope you've remembered where you got yours from so we can all order one?
can you help?
"We are pleased to inform you that we have been appointed the official distributor for MonsterGame cables in the UK.
Due to critical acclaim sparking unprecedented worldwide demand, we now expect our first shipment to be available for sale by the first week in January.
The price on the premium GameLink 300 S-Video AV Cable, PGL 300 SV-10, after which you enquire, is expected to be £59.95.
The GameLink 200 AV Cable, PGL 200 R-10 composite video cable will be £49.95.
For optimum transfer of sound to a processor/ receiver via a TOSLINK digital interface, we recommend the Lightwave 100 fibre-optic cable, PLW 100 FO-10, which will retail for £49.95."
Nothing really new but the date's been pushed back a month.

Fair enough, but you have to ask the question... if they're not intended for sale outside the US, how come they appointed Lenbrook as an official UK distributor...?
However, the DVD sound via the optical cable on the PS2 is fantastic. It is as good, if not better than my mid-range DVD player. I can't wait for the first games to come out with Dolby Digital sound.
Due to manufacturer restrictions, we are currently unable to ship
consumer electronics, accessories, and software to destinations
outside of the U.S. The manufacturers who provide us with these
products intend them for the U.S. market only and will not allow us to
offer them for sale outside the U.S.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Please be assured that all of
our customers are important to us. As soon as we are able to source
goods for non-U.S. markets, we will begin selling them internationally.
I'm at work at the moment (my PS2 is calling me, but I must resist... resist... no, baby, daddy can't come home just yet... soon, though...), so I can't spend the time I'd like reading all the details.
