Its all to do with compression.
4mb - Lowest memory compression, very reliable.
8mb - Twice as Much compression, reliable. Very rarely corrupts data, but possible.
Mega Memory 16x - 16 times compression on all your saves! Increasing the possibilities of data becoming corrupt, personally (Although you may be saving money, or hassle in the long run) I would not buy it.
a. Like it and Lump it
b. Send it back to Special Reserve
c. E-mail Datel's support address and be nice but do tell them the truth about the 'ultra- reliable' storge system and how it can sometimes screw up
d. E-mail Datel's support address and tell them where to stick it (but for some strange reason i think i may not get a reply, WHICH I DONT WANT)
e. Exchange a faulty product for a new one of the same thing.
There have been reports of people with this problem on ALL GC memory cards (yes, even the official ones). If I remember correctly, one site determined it was something to do with them being too cold(?).
I'm sceptical about their 'findings' which would be bizzare if true but, more to the point, it's not a problem unique to a particular brand.
being cold shrinks some things, a good few cms, so maybe it effects the electronic things too.
