"GameCube sucks!" "PS2 rules!" "X-Box is the best because of its power!"
That's about the basic jist of it. And it also applies with the games too - even the new ones right after they've just been releaed.
Except for ones that they have seen before on their own consoles though - like Resident Evil for example. But these games will apparently still be nowhere near as good as they were originally several years ago.
If you're sharper than the average Knife than you may be thinking i'm about to say something regarding the recently-released Super Mario SunShine and 'other people's opinions on this all-new Mario game featuring a few ideas from the SNES-era and an a Water Cannon for Mario to play-around with thanks to Proffeseur E.Gadd - once again.
Well then, it seems congratulations are indeed heading in your direction!
But it seems all X-Box and PS2 owners are staying well-clear from Mario's 'Fun in the Sun'...
I recieved this game on-time, on it's day of European Release (04/10/02), and to be honest... I couldn't have been happier with what I experienced in this game throughout the rest of the afternoon. From what i've seen, heard and played for myself, this game is simply Super Mario 64 with beefed-up graphics, including a number of the best elements of Super Mario World, along with that obvious simplicity we have come to both love and know so-well throughout the porky Italian's long-reign at the top.
He may have starred in many-of the greatest Platform-Adventure games since time first began and all, but for one (stupid) reason or another, not everyone seems to respect him like we did 10-15 years ago.
Once again, it's the 'anti-Nintys' who are on our backs to try and shatter the moments we enjoy with this great game that is undoubtabley destroys all its competitors in the current Games Market as it stands today. Yet again we have another GameCube game from Nintendo (the masters) themselves designed entirely for the likes of 3-5 year olds who can barely even read or write themselves - let-alone play and thoroughly understand a Computer or Video Game! And it's all because of its appearence, and the fact that it is Nintendo, and that they are not.
GameCube and Super Mario fans alike, aswell as myself, have been eagerly awaitng the arrival of this Adventure - just one of the most-anticipated games to arrive on Nintendo's Cube within the next 12-18 months alone.
But if people are knocking this one off - the first in a long-line of 'GameCube Must-Haves', then how can we be so sure that they'll appreciate the likes of Zelda and all the others that arrive if they've already shown no real respect for the one-and-only 'Super Mario'??
Surely they're just going to critisize the new Legend of Zelda game when that arrives - and its 'cartoony' cel-shaded image will only fuel their argument further.
But we all know that after the likes of Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda is, has, and always will be one of the greatest - if not THE greatest RPG-Adventure series' of all-time!
We know Nintendo, and we know why Nintendo games are 'special' to say the least.
But people like... 'them' who won't even look at a Nintendo game for more than 30 seconds anymore are only hurting themselves as they miss-out on all that is the 'Nintendo Experience' - something that will NEVER see the day-of-light on a rival console! Not even if Mr.Miyamoto's life depended on it!!
I am well and truly fed-up with all those critics who today knock-off Nintendo and their products just because they feel that 'bigger' IS 'better'.
Well let me tell you something... you don't get much bigger than Nintendo when it comes to knowing the ropes of the Games World. This isn't just any-old company we're talking about here, it's Nintendo. A company that has been around for well-over a Century, unlike the others who haven't really been here 5 minutes where you really think about it!
I don't really care if you think the PS2 is no.1, or if the GameCube is a load of old cack that deserves to but shoved in a bottle as cast-away to sea...
Just don't take the big games for granted, your doing yourselves no-favours by missing out on games from the brightest-brains in the Gaming World today.
Didn't you all own Super Nintendo's and GameBoy's 10 years-ago anyway?
Those were the days...
What's so different now??
And they call Nintendo kiddy... GROW-UP!

We know that in it's first week it shattered the amount of sales that Halo made in the same time.
Before it was even released the game was in the charts from pre-orders alone!
The two million barrier shouldn't be so hard to break though. In it's first week released anywhere, it sold one million.
> How many copies has Mario Sunshine sold so far then ? I know Halo has
> gone over the 2 million mark.
Not sure, no figures been published yet. It's one of the fastest selling games ever I know that.
People who call Nintendo games 'kiddy' are being truly naive, and failing to see that Nintendo is a company for everyone. It's mainly image obsessed adolescents that are the doers of such a crime, and the people on either side that accept Nintendo make some bloody excellent games. It is usually without any real justification that people call Nintendo games 'kiddy', and really, it's their loss.
Also, isn't it odd how these 'kiddy' games are outselling such 'mature' games. Super Mario Sunshine vs. Halo + GTA3 anyone?
In the X-Box forum we're always getting posts from Nintendo owners in particular saying stuff along the lines of "X-Box sucks", etc.
As soon as a big title comes out on the X-Box and we talk about it, its not long before posters come in and start slating it. So Nintendo owners are no less guilty of this stuff than owners of the other 2 consoles.
