Customer - Been looking on the shelves for it, can you check in the back if you have Gear Metal Solid 2 in for the PC?
Joby - Metal Gear Solid 2 yeah?
Customer - Yeah, Gear Metal Solid.
Joby - Can tell you now mate, Metal Gear Solid is only available currently on the Playstation 2.
Customer - Look, I read it in a magazine, Gear Metal Solid is available for the PC, can you just hop on back there and have a look.
(I hopped back to the storeroom, had a Dime bar and returned munching away'
Joby - Nope, sorry.
Customer - Did you even check?
Joby - Didn't need too.
Customer - Where is your manager?
Joby - (I muttered) Probably hiding from you.
Customer - Pardon.. excuse me?
Joby - I said 'I think he is on the loo'
Customer - I will wait down the front of the shop, can you tell him to come and talk to me, I wish to make a complaint.
Joby - Yeah, Microsoft are annoying.
(He walks and waits down the front of the shop, being young I really couldn't care, he should listen to me when I tell him its not out but he didn't. My manager comes out of the staff area door)
Joby - Its my lunchbreak now Neil, can I go?
Neil (manager) - Yeap, lemme check you.
(I get searched and leave the shop, making myself obviously seen by the customer)
Customer - Where are you going?
Joby - Mate, I don't work here, I just pretend to look important and I love this green shirt, you will find Gear Metal Solid in the basket at the back underneath the shop floor.
(I think he left).
I love my job. Yay!

Not sure how you can make that judgement FM. I do really enjoy working at GAME, I love helping customers who want to listen and want to talk about gaming. I love selling consoles and software and recommending games and knowing when different games are out.
If you are ever in London come and test the theory, there are over 600 EB/GAME shops, only a few of them are worth a visit though, Wimbledon being one of them for staff who actually know what they are talking about.
I didn't take anything out on the customer, he is one of the regular ones that make an appearance to ask annoying questions. :-/

Heh, when i worked as a temp for argos i wasnt searched at the end of the shift. I could have stole loads of stuff, but im an honest employee, so i didnt. But it was in the paper that the manager of that store stole a load of cash from the safe and done a runner.
The only place I ever thought they searched you before you could leave the premises was the secret chemicals weapons facility at Porton Down, (so secret that everyone knows where it is, gawd bless ya, British Army).
