I could have posted this in the WWE forum but they would have just moaned at me!
Anyway, I've decided that WWE is the Marmite of the TV world, you either love it or hate it. I personally think that it's the biggest pile of crap ever!
The storylines are boring and the acting is just crap, how can you enjoy cheering on a person who already has a fate for that match? It's all a fix and I just can't understand the fun of it!
Now that's my view of it, nothing will change my mind, it will always be a boring lump of poo when I think of it.
But what do you people think of it, and why do you enjoy/hate it?
I just can't see the fun in it, I know someone will have a good reason and I will accept it but please just tell me why people love it so much?
P.S Is there an age limit when people stop liking it? I get scared when I see 40 year old Americans cheering on their favourite wrestler in the front row of a 'show.' There is no match to be fought, it's a show!

The thing is you can watch a Kung Fu movie and still enjoy it. It's pretty much the same. Its still guys beating eachother up. You know how its gonna end but you still watch it. Its just in wrestling the badguys quite often win.

But how can you have a proper match when all these fancy moves require co-operation from both (or more) wrestlers for them to be safe. If they wanted to, they could easily severly hurt eachother with their 'drop of the head' moves or the 'rub you fat @rse into someones face' move!

You probably do find it funny, but we enjoy laughing at the ignorance of non-wrestling fans. {:)
I searched, 'gay' on the topic search thing...
It's quite funny with all the results but what made me laugh is that on 1 page of results, there are 2 posts argueing that WWE is gay!

It's not though. Unless it;s a massive match, then all the wrestlers will do will meet for a few minutes before, discuss a basic outline, and then wrestle. They don't tell each-other what move they're going to do every time.
And I think you underestimate how hard it actually is.

Hitting people with a chair will hurt but you get them in the right place, it can easily be done in an act...
