Got the game today, it's not too shabby. On the other hand, it ain't anything to write home about really. From what I've seen teh gameplay seems pretty much like the first, but of course there are new features.

The new gift system seems good; you pick up items along your journey and can give them to different people. You get a small gift in return and then they might come to help you out later if they liked the gift. One guy said he was interested in history books, so I gave him the only one I could find, which was volume 5, and he said "It would have been better to read them all at once" and sneered. I had to pay for it, too. On the other hand I gave this fat man some vodka and he loved it.

There's a 60Hz mode.

The graphics are good, nice rain splashes off a crow I noticed, although I don't think they're quite as good as Res Evil GC.

Controls are the same as before, I think. You can't control the character using the analogue stick, which is annoying, because the analogue stick is used for something else.

Erm.......anyone else get it? Or am I on my own here? Come on people, you all like Devil May Cry, and it's not THAT dissimilar.

Bah, I don't want this topic to go off the page. Keep it alive people! Surely SOMEONE must have the game?

Okay, right now I'm up to Gogandantess the second time, anyone else?

The voice acting varies a lot. In some places it's absolutely dire and in others it's bloody brilliant. It usually settles somewhere in the middle. And the main character sounds like Clint Eastwood, I keep expecting him to say "Did I use five magic attacks or six? In all this excitement, I can't quite remember....."

Is it better than the first one though? (The voice acting)

Well it's not absolutely necessary, no. You could just go for the second, although I would recommend both if you have the time and money. It might get a bit repetitive if you play them one after another, I'm not sure. It's not really necessary in storyline terms - it tells you briefly at the start of the game what happened in the first. It doesn't really spoil it much, from what I can remember.

You might be best getting Onimusha 2, and then getting the original if you really like it.

I've not got around to playing the origanal, so maybe you can tell me, should I buy the first game or just go for this one? It looks alright, something I know I would enjoy, but I'm not sure whether I need to play the first game to better understand how to play the sequel.
