I played the demos of Colin Mcrae 3 and Rally Fusion and CM3 is a must have ! I was really impressed with it and I don't usually enjoy rally games that much. :-)
Rally Fusion isn't so realistic, but its pretty fun with your co-driver constantly ripping into you. ;-)) "Direct the ::bleep::ing car !!!"
;-)) Excellent stuff !
Going to try Hitman 2 shortly - my cousin is over trying the games out too and he now REALLY wants an X-Box. ;-)
As for the movie section of the disc, Jurrasic Park: Project Genesis is looking amazing ! You lot really have to take a look at it because its much better than I ever thought it'd be - and I was already looking forward to the game. :-)
Steel Battalion and Lamborghini are also looking stunning as well. Theres also a small movie of Dark Angel and some coverage of Morrowind and The Thing.
Going into the mag itself, theres some nice coverage of DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball with the news that players will be able to use their DOA3 game saves to unlock features in the game. :-)
Lots of coverage on other future releases that will have you glued to the mag for awhile and some suprising news in the U.S column about the PS2 online play. Apparently things aren't going too well. The broadband adapter is apparently incompatible with certain builds of the PS2 console, requiring you to send the console back and have it replaced.
Another thing is that the adapter has to be screwed in and if you overtighten the screws, it may not work.
So overall, things aren't going wonderfully for the PS2's online venture.
On top of this, Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil) has put the boot in by saying that PS2 console sales are high because of people having to buy replacements thanks to it being easy to break. He went on to say that he himself went through a couple of PS1's and PS2's due to the CD lens wearing out quickly. I can back him up on that as I went through god knows how many PS1's and a PS2 for that same problem.
As for reviews, these games got the following... (I'll just put up the main reviews you'll want to know)
Blinx - 9.3/10
Rocky - 9.0/10 (was quite surprised on this one)
Quantum Redshift - 8.0/10
Morrowind - 7.6/10
Timesplitters 2 - 9.3/10
Blade 2 - 7.2/10
Deathrow - 5.5/10
I've also picked up Quantum Redshift today which I'll be playing in a minute and I'm thinking of leaving Deathrow till I play a demo. Hopefully it'll be at Stuff Live 2002 tomorrow. :-)
Anyway, this mag definatly leaves you drooling with anticipation for the coming weeks and months going into next year. So many excellent games coming out now, need to win the lottery. ;-))
> I haven't got the mag yet.... Hitman emptied all available funds.
I Must ask, Is Hitman 2 good?
As for aimless wandering, pfftt. It's realistic, it's a huge island and you have to actually travel across it. Theres absolutely shed loads of things to see and do, it's an awesome game. Besdies, you can can Stilt Walkers to other places, or if your in the Mages Guild they can teleport you and stuff.
There is some fogging, but thw graphics are incredible, especialy the weather effects, thunder storms, sand storms etc. If you have a subwoofer then the thunder storms rock!
I would write a full review of it (not on SR, too few words) but I really can't be bothered, theres just too much stuff to write.
If you don't buy it then hang your head in shame.
Quantum Redshift 8.0 - that means it's quality!
And Blinx 9.3 - *kicks heels together like a merry leprechaun* - that means it's class AAA!
I think I'll buy OXM tomorrow. :)
Also, theres a little demo area where you can play NFL Fever 2003 and see a movie of Blinx ! :-)
Anyway, back to the game. ;-)

> 9...
Hmmm I have'nt got the new mag yet, but i've read a few reviews elsewhere, they rated Morrowind around 7 or 8 Because its riddled with bugs and fogging is used also. Aimless wandering around aswell.
