You have to wait for the bird to reach the tower in the center for the red coin...you just have to stay on the bird once while it flips, any problems, use the hover function
17 Shines in total now. :)
I'm trying not to rush straight through this game, but to enjoy every little detail in each of the huge levels.
But there's one thing I still haven't done yet that all the Magazines say is amazing... and that's slide through some oily mess.
I've done the Tightrope, i've messed around with FLUDD, but no slipping and sliding for me yet.
I'll try and get some more Shines later.

Still can't do the sand bird.
Still can't see an 8th red coin anyway, still can't stay on the damn thing when it flips up. It's impossible I tell ya.

This game can't be good for my school work/social life/anything else that doesn't involve gamesplaying! ;-)
Having finished a fair few of the levels, I've hit a rut.
I can't go much further without giving the giant chainchomp a bath (4th shine, Pianta Village).
I've tried all sorts but I can't get him in.
The best I've done it get him to the hotspring, but the moment he sees the pool, he turns around.
I've tried nailing his tail down by it but he just breaks free.
Anyone know how to do this?

Hm..okay. Can't say I've noticed it before.
You don't need to, get all the red coins off the bird and the stand on the left wing, you'll see the platform before it turns vertical.

Somewhere between you getting 30 and 40 Shines me thinks, can't remember exactly, you'll know about it when it happens.
