I was confused by this at first, you have to go into the roof by jumping on the bed on the top floor, when you get into the roof go to the top left hand corner of the maze, there's should be a cracked floor panel, butt stomp down and there should be a coin in the room you end up in. I can't remember where the next one is, it's either in the room behind the Ghost poster, just spray it with water to get through, or in the room below you butt stomp to get down.
One of the 2 anyway.

I now have 20. :)
And i've unlocked that Rocket booster thing that shoots you straight-up and into the air, and I also got the one that allows you to run reall fast.
But that Sandbird level is damn annoying! :@
I can get 7 of the coins, and then I fall-off!

It took me well-over an hour to do that one where to have to climb to the very-top of the Harbour and get that Star. God-knows how many times I fell-off, it was so damn frustrating!
Glad I did it though, and I hope to grab some more Shines later. :)

I don't want to say any more without spoiling it...
Anyway, I've more or less finished the initial set of levels.
I've completely finished the first one (Bianco hills), I still need to do the "Yoshi" one on the port level, but other than that I've finished all the missions and just need to collect the coins.
It says that the shine gate has opened.
What does it mean by that?
Isn't the shine gate that big shine tower?
I'd really like to find a new level...
