I have to come up with an "FPGA Implementation of the RTX2000 RISC Processor".
Yup, that's what I thought too.
Wish me luck, I think I'll need it....
It's a much simpler life!
The title "An FPGA Implementation of Triangle Mesh Decompression (2002)" sounded particularly interesting. So did "An FPGA Implementation of the Petri net Firing Algorithm".
But I read neither. I'll leave that to someone else who can possibly understand it.

Yeah, you see it's very simple. All you need to do is-
*runs*
What in the blue HECK does that mean? You should slap the guy who sets this stuff
Sounds like you are going to be a busy bunny. I'm aiming for something web related (database or interactive site etc) for my project. Get given it next week!

I know that one !
It's the little bit of gubbins full of silicon and wires and stuff that does all the work and gets overheated and then slows down.
:)

I think it is a RISC processor designed by a University. Nowhere near the likes of Intel or AMD but for those interested I'm sure it will show all the basics in good processor design. Maybe. :-)
I studied the MipsCo processor at uni.
Do you have to re-design the processor to handle a new intsruction set (or software)?
What course you doing at uni?
Sounds a bit similar to a few of my computer science classes I have sat but in a bit more detail etc. Still don't understand what it means, :-)
Good luck though, keep us updated on how it goes.
