The action replay box is on the shelves in GAME for pre-order and nowhere on the box does it mention import game capabilities which surely must confirm that the freeloader isn't coming out and that datel can't actually make the discs. I'm sure edgy will be along to try and deny this but why doesn't the box mention import games, the only reason i can think of is that the import feature isn't included and why wasn't there any freeloader boxes if it's coming out at the same time. It seems like datel will eventually come out with some poxy excuse like they weren't satisfied with the peformance or something. A friend of mine bought that g-force mag because it said it had dvd footage of the freeloader playing import games but my friend couldn't find this supposed footage on the disc. Looks like vapourware then....

"UNLEASH THE POWER OF YOUR GAMECUBE™ WITH ACTION REPLAY™

Imagine a product that lets you play GameCube games the way you really want to. An amazingly powerful product that can help you defeat any GameCube game – or breathe new life into an old game by making it even more of a challenge. A product that is also capable of playing import titles from the U.S.A. and Japan – without any modifications to your console.

Welcome to Action Replay, the incredible new cheat system that unleashes the true power of your Nintendo GameCube. With Action Replay even a complete novice can become a real gaming guru overnight!

Action Replay is the only cheat system designed specifically for GameCube. Using Datel’s advanced proprietary technology, the Action Replay cheat system can unlock even the very toughest games at the press of a button.

Straight out of the box you get a GameCube-sized Action Replay CD which contains hundreds of preloaded cheat codes for all your favourite games. You also receive a piece of hardware which must be inserted into your memory card slot before the Action Replay CD is loaded. This special card stores any new codes that you input (for example if you buy a new GameCube game), letting you build your own customised library of cheats.

Action Replay offers gamers total flexibility and freedom. You may want to unlock everything in a game – infinite health, ammo and time, access all levels and vehicles, and much more. Or instead you can activate just the one or two cheats you need to get you that little bit further in the game. It’s your choice.

So why are Action Replay’s codes so sought after? Your run-of-the-mill “button” cheats, which are sometimes made available for certain games, are actually official cheats designed by a game’s programmers, whereas the excitement of Action Replay is that every code you see if 100% unofficial. There are no rules!

Datel’s crack team of coders work day and night to provide gamers with an armoury of essential cheats and mega-powerful enhancements. And because these totally unauthorised codes are exclusive to Action Replay, you won’t find them anywhere else.

Despite all this power, Action Replay is breathtakingly easy to use. Even complete beginners will master it in minutes. Everything is presented in clear, intuitive menus. Use your GameCube controller to choose the game you want to beat and you’ll be presented with a long list of mouthwatering cheats which have been crafted specifically for your selected game. You can activate as few or as many of these codes as you like.

Another type of Action Replay code that can be activated is the “enhancement” code. Enhancements are enabled in exactly the same way as cheat codes, but as the name suggests they make subtle changes to your gaming experience. Often they won’t help you complete a game, but enhancements like “extra-fast-ball” can suddenly give that played-to-death football game a much-needed lease of life. Some enhancements need to be seen to be believed, such as the hilarious code for Luigi’s Mansion which turns our hero into an outlandishly sized giant!

Once you’ve made your selection, Action Replay will prompt you to remove its disc, and replace it with your game disc. The codes you selected remain in your GameCube’s memory until you decide to switch off your console. Now you can really have fun!

It’s easy to update Action Replay with new cheats when a new game is released. New and exclusive codes can be found at the official web site www.codejunkies.com, and in leading video game magazines such as G-Force (www.gforcemag.com). Gamers can alternatively make a quick call to the Codejunkies Codeline (updated every Friday) to hear the latest gamebusting codes.

One of the most requested features of Action Replay is Datel’s revolutionary “FreeLoader” technology. This groundbreaking feature lets you enjoy Japanese and American NTSC games on your European PAL GameCube – sometimes many months before they’re released in Europe. Without “FreeLoader”, a PAL GameCube will simply refuse to play anything but PAL games.

The FreeLoader function is very simple to activate – the gamer chooses this menu option on-screen, then is prompted to replace the Action Replay disc with the import game disc.

Summary of features:

Preloaded with loads of exclusive cheats for the latest and greatest GameCube games
Totally unauthorised cheats and enhancements that you won’t find anywhere else
Easy to update with new cheats for new games
Plug and play card – no memory card required for storing new cheats
Unrivalled customer support means new cheats are usually available from day one of a game’s release
Play import games from any region without modifying your console using Datel’s revolutionary “FreeLoader” technology
Intuitive menu system
Stylish, hi-resolution graphics
Easy to use – no technical or programming knowledge required "

See, it says at the top! It plays import games!

Quoted from the editor of the Codejunkies website:

"FreeLoader should be here by end of this week or start of next, I'm told. It hasn't been cancelled,
the only reason CJ has been quiet is because we're working on the new site."

As far as I am aware, the Freeloader is still a part of the Action Replay.

I can always ask again, but don't shoot the messenger. Insults are a banning offence here :P

Action replay and the freeloader are two different things, moron. They come on two different disks. Besides, why is everyone against edgy at the moment?

Sorry to be grouchy, I just find it annoying when N00bs disresepct someone like Edgy.

And no, that is not n excuse to call me a brown noser.
