Well, it's not that games can't get 10/10, but it's just the ratings for games that aren't on the X-Box are so bad.

Mario Sunshine and TimeSplitters 2 both didn't get 10/10, and I'd say that they're both pretty perfect games.

Medal of Honour: Frontline, which I think is a brilliant game only got 5/10. I mean, what the hell???

Please. Do X-box owners really not have anything to look forward to except a game thats not coming out until 2004? It's pathetic.

And Edge is crap, read it once about two years ago and never touched it again.

excuse me? where did you learn maths?

using a rounding sum idea, 10/10 can mean anything from 95% to 100% assuming 100% is the maximum value. So for a start, it doesn't at all imply it's perfect, and is of course a far better system than marking out of 100.

And what does it mean when a game gets 10/10? Does it mean it's perfect? Don't be so blindly ignorant. it means it's good. Better by a significant margin than some similar game which scored 9/10 perhaps. what's the point of limiting yourself to a maximum of 9, when that only puts you in the same place?

And how can even a blank CD score 0, when it has obvious value? It's impossible.

Everyone,10/10 = 100% you can not go over that it is the max you can get.
Yes you can get 0/10 if you hand in a blank Cd and call it table wars that will get a 0.

I do believe I just said that.

By rating something 10/10 isn't saying the game is perfect. But saying that no game can attain 10/10 is ludicrous. It also implies that no game can recieve 0/10, since no game can be perfectly crap.

you can't have 0 without having infinity, so if you want to look at it like that, you're not marking out of 10 but only 8 instead. what's the point in that?

What kind of blithering idiot thinks that by marking something 10 out of 10 it is therefore absolutely perfect?

Then you couldn;t get 9/9 it means the same thing you can not get a perfect game.

it's just a rating system. If a game can't get 10 out of 10, then the 10 shouldn't be there.

Then people would say the same of 9.

it's not saying that it's perfect, it's just saying that it's bloody good.
