.. with collge and work and all, I've got a bit lost in the Web design area of things, so if someone could help get me upto speed, it would be helpful.

What HTML standard is used now????
Who are the people who set these standards and do they have a Web Site???

Thanks.

does it sing and dance?
It's probably better because it's had more time to mess around with it, this is new to Netscape, much better than having loads of seperate windows open at once, much fun.

I just downloaded NS.7 and the Tab feature is pretty cool :o).

NS Invented Cookies, I havn't tried much out on NS7 yet but I would have thought it would have a few more options...maybe not.

What? Mozilla has been doing that for years, along with thousands of other things IE STILL hasn't incorporated yet. Give Moz 1.2b a spin (mozilla.org) and you'll never turn back to that piece of featureless crap you advocate so highly at the moment.

I would say IE 6 is probably the best one of the lot at the moment as the new one has the ability to turn off certain types of cookies etc. And a lot easier to set up than NS. But thats only my oppinion.

I like NS7, i've been using it a lot recently, only problem is it takes a few moments to load up...other than that it seems faster than IE.

Mmmm... Here's what I'm using at work atm if it's any help...

HTML 4.01, xHTML 1.0/2.0, XML 1.1 all seem to be the suggested ones, though I'd still look at using HTML 3.2 and xHTML 1.0 as a basisi for starting on.

Browser wise... IE 5.5/6, NS 6/7, Mozilla and Opera. The world is finally reching a point where NS4.0 - 4.79 can be ignored completely opening up more flexability in design and code useage!!

CSS1.0 is still the norm, though more CSS 2 is becoming more frequent with a tiny touch of the un finalized CSS 3.

For all the latest info follow W3C. (www.w3.org)
