He critiscised the gameplay for being too boring to do.
The grpahics for being below standard
And the controls rubbish when you bounce off walls.
Not only has this put me intirely off the game, but it also proves that Edge is very biased.
That is all.
> Heh, that is greatly sad. And Ninty's wonder why we take the mick!!!

TIF!? Are you out of your mind? I wouldn't mind the fact that you didn't mention Onimusha 2 if TIF was even half decent. Unless you were joking, in which case I'll cry.
As for it being reminiscent of Mario 64, all's the better, that's one of the best games ever made.
Anyway i'll find out for myself on Friday.
6 days, 12 hours, 47 minutes and changing amounts of seconds when I was there.
"He critiscised the gameplay for being too boring to do."
Deffinately. If anyones played croc you will know what I mean.
A) There is no challenge! I completed the level I was playing in a few minutes and then watched as my mate continued to complete the next 4 stages with ease. Man, I could see the XBox owning fool was having fun watering flowers, over and over. Clearly Nintendo are digging there way deeper into the pre-school hole and anyone who finds this a challenge is simply... ametuar... You cant even jump off a cliff when you stood right next to it!!
B) The enemies! Mr Enemy- "Wow, lets all walk in straight lines hoping the 5 year old goon playing this accidently walks into me so I can show my 'Nintendo Violence' off in (Un)spectacular fashion and do my very best to harm the most annoying mesh of polygons ever created." *ahem*
C) Where are all the secrets?!?! Are they so well hidden that I cant find them? Nooo! A quick check at a walkthrough ripped off the front of NGC reveals there is none.
"The graphics for being below standard"
'Sun sparkles off the brilliant water affects', 'Textures are smooth', 'Heat waves are impressive'. What the heck have Edge been playing if they think that?! The textures are so gritty it takes me back to my Saturn/PSOne playing days, The water effects dont even have reflections! And the heat waves are just there so the jaggies aren't so apparent, but just make vison blurry.
'And the controls rubbish when you bounce off walls.'
How annoying, everytime you slightly scrape the wall a stupid cartoony 'explosion bubble' appears and Mario falls flat on his back. Duh! Talk about annoying! Also whats with the 'Mario 64' cloned controls. It feels the same and you keep getting that Deja Vu feeling from early '64 days.
"Not only has this put me intirely off the game, but it also proves that Edge is very biased."
Edge are very biased. No way should this have got a 10. It's highly dissapointing and there are much better platformers out there. Jak and Daxter is a mere £19.99 and its a shame for GC owners that the game was published by Sony, else maybe platform hungry Ninty's wouldn't be pushed to opt for a shoddy game instead. Nintendo make good games, true. But don't let this phrase fool you into think Sunshine is one of them. Get Doshin or Smash Bro's instead.
That is all.

He played it in a shop and he worked that out, oh and what a descriptive way of putting yourself a across "I played Mario sunshine it was boring too do"
> The grpahics for being below standard
From what i've seen the graphics look damn spankingly good, am I totally behind the times or something. Below standard graphics I would say the blocky, pop up ridden ugliness that was GTA3 was below standard. Mario look crisp, no jaggies, no pop up. Not as good as Starfox graphics but still very nice.

The controls are rubbish when you bounce of walls?
Even if they are which they probably aren't, controls on Mario games have always been some of the most responsive out there, Miyamoto always finds time to finely tune them, anyway even if they are 'rubbish' that's a very small niggle.
