I know Rare have made SOME good games in the past but whats everyones big thing with it. I've seen like 20 posts on RARE/ Microsoft topics.

It doesn't really matter does it you know what he means! its not an english class. Not everybody is the perfect speller or never has typo's

Its probably because Rare are the best and most diverse console games maker. Whatever they do and in whatever genre it tends to be quality. Goldenye, perfect dark (shooters), Diddy Kong (racing), Donkey kong (platformer), they are by far the best and one of the most diverse games developers, and losing them was an absolutely massive blow to Nintendo as it will daage sales of both the games and the consoles.
