I got my PS2 on Friday morning. True I had to get up at 4.30 in order to be there to collect it at 7am but it was definately worth it.
I love the beautiful machine. TTT is absolutely awesome. The graphics are unbelievable and the game play is brilliant. The only fault I can find is the scrolling thing, when as many reviews have said sometimes it does look like you are fighting on a revolving disk disconected from the backgrounds. BUT as it makes no difference whatsoever to the game play it does not bother me in the slightest. The backgounds in general are beautifully realised and the whole game just oozes class. I spent hours playing it on Saturday night (about 7 hours straight actually) and I have unlocked the theatre mode, tekken bowl, the screen capture option and all but one of the characters.
Once I have unlocked them all I am going to concentrate on becoming a Tekken master with my favourite few characters.
As for SSX well that game is flawless. Babylonian you are in for a treat when you get your hands on this. It is original, well thought out, brilliantly designed tracks and great fun to play. It is so fast you really get the adrenaline rush associated with these sports and the tricks are not just gimmicks but an integral part of the play. I was expecting it to be awesome from all the reviews I had read and I was not disappointed its amazing.
You will soon get into pulling crazy stunts and exploring off piste.
The only thing that has surprised me as that it is quite hard. I have not managed to unlock any of the other tracks yet (Snowdream is the one you start with) and I hope I can soon as I am getting a bit fed up with Snowdream. To be honest though as I have spent most of my weekend on TTT I have not put in the time required to get very good at SSX yet so I should not be complaining.
All in all though I can say that buying the PS2 was the best decision I ever made. It is amazing and these are just the 1st generation games!!!
Go out and buy one as soon as you have the chance, if you dont then you obviously are not into games.

Since getting my PS2 last week I havent stopped playing SSX. This is by far the best launch title, everything about it is quality. TTT is a brilliant game aswell. People have been saying it is too much like Tekken 3 but as I never played that I cant tell. It looks amazing and plays just as good. I was also rather impressed with the FIFA 2001 demo, I have been bad mouthing FIFA games for ages now but this game took me by suprise. I wont buy it just yet cause there will be a better footy game out before long.
Just watched the demo of GT3 - OH MY GOD!!! - This looks so bloody lifelike it is frightning. Even if it plays half as good as GT2 it will be an incredible game.
I am very impressed with the quality of DVD on PS2. I cant find any faults there apart from not being able to get rid of the subtitles throughout the Blair Witch.
My opinion if you get a PS2 you wont be dissapointed!!(although you will have to wait till next March to get one!)

This is probably the first posting that actually gives the PS2 a positive review!! (Apart from the PS2 forum that is.) At last, Sony is not dead, Sony LIVES! Haaaa haa ahha ahhahaaa ha (mad laughter).
