Just finished watching, and my final verdict would be "nothing special."
I'm pretty peeved at the "no contest" ending though, there wasn't even an F-5!

Anyway, onto the card, and we begun with the 8 man tag. Not too good at the start, but the ending was enjoyable, despite the questionable winners. I guess they're pushing Kane, although I'm surprised they're not pushing the UnAmericans as a big, powerful faction.

It has taken me 2 days to watch it, so I apologise if I get matches in the wrong order. Anyway, next up I think was the living legend King of the World Chris Jericho defending his Intercontinental Title against Ric Flair.
Brilliant. :D
Okay, so the match was short, but with Y2J being my current big favourite I had to love the ending. I personally thought Flair was done for with his career after the match, but I guess what happened later proves me wrong. Anyway, great to see Y2J win 2 matches on the trot, something that hasn't been seen since he lost the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania.

Okay, I might be wrong, but I think Eddie Guerrero vs Edge was next. Match of the night. I only realised it just after the match, but I could watch those two wrestle each-other all day. Despite having three matches in quick succession, they still manage to pull some special stuff out of the bag, and it's great to see Latine Heat winning some big matches. Not the longest of matches, but what was there was great.

The Island Boys vs Billy and Chuck was pretty good too, although I was a little surprised by the ending. I wasn't too unhappy though, especially considering the prospect of Stephanie McMahon in HLA! Shame they ruined the whole angle with an awfully predictable Rikishi/lesbian interference.

Triple H vs RVD? A lot of people say HHH is past his prime, and that may be but he's still a worthy champion. He's got the power and character that no one else has, and to be honest RVD's promos and backstage stuff just peeves me off. :D
Flair's turn totally surprised me, even if it did no one else. I just hope he gives a plausible explanation on RAW. RVD can have the title later, he's got years yet. And besides, HHH still gets massive reactions, and in my opinion deservedly so.

I didn't even watch the women's match. :D

Benoit vs Angle wasn't the best they could've given us, but the amateur wrestling stuff was brilliant, and it was great to see the crowd applauding them. Lots of suplexes, submissions and some innovative moments were what got the audience into it, and although it was heel vs heel, they were really roaring at the end. I badly wanted Benoit to win because I think he gets ignored a little...and of course, most of the crowd wanted Angle. {:) I was pleasantly surprised to see him get the victory, as I was disappointed he didn't win the no.1 contender match.

After the crap HLA bit, came the main event.

Slow and uneventful, but with the occasional nice spot. However, too many moves were buggered up (most of the punches were naff), and the ending was just rubbish. I was hoping Undertaker would completely dominate for a while (as he did at one point with the chair), and then just when you might actually think that Taker's got it, Lesnar would come from no where with a massive F5 and pin him 1,2,3 just like that. If he can beat The Rock cleanly, why can't he do the same to Taker?

However, I feel the ending didn't match the rest of the PPV, as the undercard was reasonably full with decent - great bouts. Guerrero/Edge, Benoit/Angle and HHH/RVD ruled in that order, with the last two segments of the show (HLA and the main event) kind of ruining it.

WWE Unforgiven 2002 was nothing special, but nothing too bad either.

Thanks for reading, Ant.

Ive Never liked Triple H or RVD for that matter. Neither of them are bad wrestlers, I just dont like them!

Flair teamed with HHH because HHH wants to learn how to lose a match.

(Oooh, that was so nasty!)

P.S. Do you think that the reason Flair teamed with HHH is because they have the same dress sense?

But Ant, I'm a fan of RVD but I'm not saying he's the best thing since sliced bread, its just nice to see someone with some different skills, who's a change - RVD is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the stuff we've seen. And you misunderstand my point - I want ANYONE to beat Triple H, it doesn't have to be RVD. What about Booker T? Angle? Any of these guys would be better than watching RAW is HHH.

Grandprix's thoughts on HHH sum it up succinctly.

Benoit and Angle are the best at the moment. Angle is so on form at the moment. HHH needs to wrestle and cut out all this promo rubbish and going over everyone.

I find it strange how everyone thinks RVD is so special...he's got a few tricks up his sleeve, but he's nothing compared to the likes of Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho (when they let him wrestle) and possibly even Brock Lesnar.

Does he actually know how to perform a suplex?

Yes, that is correct. I did like him before he was injured, because he was interesting, and he wrestled rather than spent 20 mins talking about it. And RVD is brilliant, but most of all, he is DIFFERENT. He is a breath of fresh air - people likle watching exciting moves, innovative manoeuvers (sp), rather than Triple H punch someone in the head and have JR constantly tell us how intense and committed he is. Yawn.

Admittedly he thinks a lot of himself in the back and he is plastered all over RAW.

BUT, surely he's done enough for the company to deserve some respect in the locker rooms? And he's plastered all over RAW at the moment because they need him to be, basically. I've always thought he was an interesting character, better than RVD anyway who just bores me in his interviews. Who else is gonna do all the acting? As I said, RVD bores me, and although I love Y2J's character it's a little unbelievable at times and wouldn't work if he was continually shown throughout. HHH is (reasonably) believable, and can act pretty well for a start, so surely he's the legitimate choice.

Well, obviously I knew it was SOMEBODY, since it was obviously makeup and prosphetics, but no, I didn't guess 'twas Rikishi

And people hate HHH now because he's getting worse in the ring, he's holding people down and he's constantly on TV - because he's diddling the boss' daughter

I guessed it was Rikishi. It wasn't that hard to work out. On the subject of Triple H, I feel that if he focused more on wrestling instead of backstage politics, he would be a lot better off.
