There are a few games starting to appear on XBox that look good. A few more, and I might consider getting an XBox.
There’s a couple of games on GameCube as well that are ok, perhaps in a few months time, the GC will be the one to get.
What other “exclusive must have” games are due on XBox and GameCube in the next few months?
Should I upgrade now, b4 Xmas, or next year?
The lack of DVD on GC is not a problem for me (i have a standalone DVD anyway).
*rolls eyes*
"Yeah - Only the X-Box can have story based games!"
Save it for the next thread entitled "Which console is best?". :P

Who are you trying to convince us or yourself? Honestly most of the new Gamecube games are nothing specail at all! I find that nintendo go all the way with publicity all the time. I'm not saying the games aren't good but games like Mario sunshine are deffinetly not innoventive. It is a good game but they have had hundreds of them and I can't see any great features in it that you wont find in other games that are out or are coming out. X-Box games are more into story lines and great graphics instead of publicity and hype. I've seen about 6 different Gamecube adverts, around 3 PS2 and only one X-Box advert and it wasn't even for a game. Anyway i've said what I wanted to say and in the end it all comes down to peoples oppinions and I for one choose an X-Box before any other console :D

Nope, I know exactly how imminent it's launch is, although when you read the PR hype - you have to bear in mind they're referring to the US launch.
PS2 has already launched it's broadband network kit in the US (so technically that Sony the first one), but there hasn't even been an announcement of plans for the UK in that respect yet, mainly because of *hisses* BT's completely useless existance. We don't have the broadband coverage for something like that yet, and it's pointless releasing anything along those lines until we do, as it'll only harm sales.
Resident Evil
Doshin the Giant
DieHard Vendetta
Wrestlemania X8
Mario Sunshine
Eternal Darkness
Mario Party 4
Starfox Adventures
Wario World
Beach Spikers
Monkey Ball 2
Then next year we've got
1080 snowboarding 2
Zelda
Lylat Wars
Metroid Prime
F Zero
Animal Crossing
Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil 4
I've gone blank can't think of anymore, there's load to come anyway. Then you've got all the usual 3rd party releases like Timesplitters 2, Jedi Outcast, Bounty Hunter, THPS4 etc etc
Just depends what sort of games you want, go for the Xbox if you want more serious PC type games or Gamecube if you want fun, innovative but to some ignorant people more childish games.

Not sure about the Buffy game from what i have seen. TS2 is on PS2 anyway, and I can’t get broadband here (and apparently XBox wont work with a normal 56k modem - although i wouldn’t want to struggle with that anyway). But there are now more games on Xbox, and more to follow, which look good.

I guess you didn't know that it'll be online at the Games Matrix show in London in a few days time before it's online even in America. Ohwell it's an easy mistake to make but it kinda gives X-Box the edge on being online in the UK :D

If it gets online before 100% UK coverage with broadband, then you'll find it most likely will BE hell, in high water. ;)
X-Box doesn't support 56k gaming, or ADSL, if you don't have cable; you're stuffed. ;)
I'd concur to keep the PS2, and buy whatever system you currently have your eye on, the price drops have made all three pretty affordable - and heck, if it takes you time to save up, you might find the price drops even further in the meantime.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
and
Time Splitters Two
All in all it's a great console and It'll be online first come hell or high water :D
Gun Metal
Enclave
DOOM 3
Halo 1 and 2
MotoGP
On GC, Star Wars-Rouge leader is impressive.
