After the superb summer showing that was Summerslam, (God Shawn Michaels rules - doubters, eat ten helpings of humble pie), it is time for the next WWE PPV to grace our screens...Unforgiven. With little or no build up to most of the matches, I am not anticipating great things on Sunday. The fact that Summerslam was so good (in my opinion, better than WM18 and the best since WM17) will probably make this seem even worse.
Hey, I could be wrong (but I doubt it :D). But one thing I am is bored, so here is my Unforgiven predictions, in probable match order...
Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge
Not too much of a build-up here, apart from there altercation on Smackdown which left Edge wearing the crimson mask. That, plus the fact that Guerrero emerged victorious from their bout at the last PPV, means Edge will probably win here. By the way, has anyone noticed how Edge has sunk to the back recently? Before he got that shoulder injury it seemed like he was destined for really big things, but he kind of sunk back into the mid card mire.
Prediction: Edge
Molly Holly(c) vs. Trish Stratus (Women's Title Match)
Again, hardly any build up, but who cares? This match isn't going to make the difference between a good or a great PPV, and the womens division is going nowhere fast, so I'm going for Molly to retain.
Prediction: Molly Holly
Yawn, I really am bored, so I can’t be bothered to do a paragraph for the rest, so…
UnAmericans vs. Kane, Bubba, Booker and Goldust: The addition of Regal shows that WWE haven’t given up on the UnAmericans yet, so I’m going for them. BTW, why isn’t Booker in the IC Title match?
Ric Flair vs. Y2J (c) IC Title Match: Don’t really care about this one, if they have any sense Jericho should retain, Flair should retire.
Billy and Chuck vs. Rosie and Jamal: Interesting, very interesting. That’s all I’m writing. :D
Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar (c) Undisputed Title: Undertaker shouldn’t even be in this match, he’s just had a run with the title and there is no point Brock losing so soon after winning, especially to UT, so I’m going for Brock to win, with Heyman heavily involved (and that is NOT a reference to his size) somewhere.
RVD vs. HHH World Title Match: Please, let RVD win – the fans love him, and even more so, they hate Triple H. I used to hate HHH because he was a heel, but still admire him because he put on some amazing matches. But now I hate him and don’t admire him. He dominates every …damn …Raw and is boring. I want RVD to win but I know he won’t. HHH to win.
