Standards have risin for me bacause of Halo. We all have a game that we adore, Halo's mine.
I know find myself rummaging for any Halo 2 news I can find. Today for example, I found myself in GAME leafing through Edge, interested in the Halo 2 artice. I saw the pics and was astounded, but its the article itself that made me want to put everythin around me on hold and just read it. I normally don't buy Edge, I find it a bit "stuck up" and the attitude about it always seams to be far away from what games are all about- fun and entertainment.
I put the mag down and I walked out of the shop. I then spun around went back in and bought it simply for the halo 2 info. Something in my mind triggered and I knew I must read it.
Well the artice didn't really disapoint, it devulged a far bit of info that I previously didn't know. How they got the graphics so good, the new story, the trailer, new weapons etc. I liked the way it showed the pictures of new veichles, there are new ATV including snow jeeps, kungle warhogs with roll cages, new covanent veichle shadow+ some consept art of new creature "Brutes" and others I can't remember. :P
Best though was how gameplay will be deeper but still remaning the Halo feel and not being simply Halo+loads of extras. The info about how XboxLive will play a part and the gametype which places Spartans against Elites online during an airraid all sounded very exciting. There will be onlin deathmatch and stuff, but also online senariaos involving teamwork and objestives. Cool.
I find myself looking at bungie.com, reading stuff because I want to know.
Wantin to view the Halo 2 trailer, but I can't. Wanting to hear the Halo 2 music, but I can't.
I'm even considering gettin that Halo:Fall of Reach book thats about telling the whole backstory to the Halo series. Don't know where I can get it but anyway.
I await Halo 2 with ultra high antisipation. I wait oh just another year now...
If Bungie go on to make the Halo games a long running series, then eventually an archive can be created with info on all the major battles over past games.
Sounds like Bungie are playing on their strengths.
The story is supposed to be mankinds last effort to stop being anniliated by the covanent. Humankind has to fight even harder as their race is on the verge of being wiped out.
Hopefully that means more epic battles alongside marines.
Halo 2 is distant.
Halo on Xbox live is the next big thing...
i know these are kinda though questions but i like can't help it, you know?

What? It hasn't even been *out* for a year yet!
You misunderstood what I meant, of all the games I've played for the past few years, Halo has been my favourite.
And there are plenty of decent Xbox games, proably more so than on GC.
