I remeber when i didn't have the internet and i had to play RPGs on my own without any help. Then when i finished the game i had a deep satisfaction that i completed it on my own. But now if i get stuck i just go on a cheat site and look up the game and think "why didn't i think of doing that?"
so i put this question to everyone:
Do you think RPGs are getting easier?
Shouldn't use Walkthroughs unless you're totally stuck and have been for a while, you can usually work things out on your own given half a chance.
Unless of course it's Silent Hill 2. :)
This is mostly down to developers lacking any creativity. Remember when a puzzle would have you stumped for days? Not any more.
True, the internet doesn't help, what with all the cheats/hints/tips sites around. If a game gets you for days now, you'll just go to a site or look in a magazine for an easy way out won't you?
I don't do that all the time though, I have actually sat down and figured things out for myself.
To make things tougher, just resist the urge to look for hinst and cheats and maybe a bit of the old 'challenge' will resurface!
