Okay so I can put all my controllers away in their boxes, except the Wavebird, and only bring them out for multi-player. So I have no wires. I can lay in bed playing games, and when I've finished use the remote to turn the T.V off.

The problem is, when I finish at 5am or whatever, I still have to get out of bed to turn the Gamecube off, rendering half the purpose of the Wavebird useless.

Bah.

I think I'm going to invest in a long stick.

I'd always think with wireless control pads that you would loose the darn thing like what often happens with the tv control.

Anyway couldn't you just lob the Wavebird up and hope it lands on the power button?
