I don't see the problem with all this competition between consoles. GIVE US A BREAK! i very much doubt that 90% of the people who read these columns actually cares whether DC is better than PS2 or gamecube is better than DC...it doesnt't really matter. from what i can tell, dreamcast is great fun to play on, as is PS2, and i am sure that gamecube will be just as good as N64. so come on guys...try and patch it up.

I agree. It's all just subconcious favouritism and blind personal opinions. If some of us grew up a little, we would enjoy most consoles out now.

I am getting a PS2 this Christmas and I am sure I will love it, as all of you would. If I sat in front of a Dreamcast, I would love it too. So let's stop this petit bickering.

Who ever thought we would all end up in front of a PC, spending all day on a forum, arguing over which piece of technology is best. We could all be talking about the good things right now.

I wish I had that sort of money. Right now (after playing Zelda 2) I think that Nintendo are the best games makers (along with Rare who are also exclusive to Nintendo consoles) so I'm set on buying a gamecube.

But if a miracle does happen and the PS2 turns out to be more worthwhile buying, then I'll end up with that instead.

The DC and PS2 are both good. Thus I am buying both!

I agree that we must stop arguing over which console is best.

But that is better than getting 40 average games for one console though. By far. :)

i too own all three major consoles (PS, DC, N64) and they are all great. as soon as i can afford PS2 i will order one...same with gamecube. the only problem with owning so many consoles is that you can only get one or two games for each!

Very good point, been thinking that for a while. I've never devoted myself to one company exclusively, staying "loyal" to one means you can miss out on some of the best games. You seem to end up denying that games on other formats are any good, more to convince yourself than anyone else, and if you won't play on a PS2 because it's not a sega/nintendo console, then you're missing out.
I've owned a console by each of the 3 major players in the market now, and been very happy with each of them, the N64 had some great multiplayer games, the Dreamcast titles have been very imaginitive (more of these please sega), and the PS and PS2 has great variety and a huge range of titles. Each has its good and bad points, and you can't make a generalisation about a console based on one or two games. I suspect that many people who are slagging off the PS2 have never played on one...

Its just as bad having an anti PS2 freak as there is having a PS2 freak that cant even consider having another console.
I cant see how PS2 freaks can call anti-PS2 freaks biased, cuz they are both the same...
