For anyone who didn't know this, apparently Yuji Naka has confirmed that PSO on the X-Box will enable you to download extra stuff from X-Box Live.

Be interesting to see what becomes downloadable. Possibly extra missions, weapons and eve characters/character parts.
Could add some extra life to the game. :-)

is it turn based combat or do i control the attacks myself? also is it true players can play off line?
Phantasy is an excellent online Real-time RPG, one of the greatest of it's time maybe only surspassed in gameplay by Zelda, but only just ;).
It's good to see they are continuing(sp?) the d/l-able Xtras from the DC.

what is Phantasy Star online like?
Thing is, both PSO and PSO 2 are coming out.
Both of them have been finished for other platforms, so it's just a case of porting them over. Surely that means they'll both be ready within a few months of each other.
If that happens, I'd just wait for v2, as would a lot of other people I guess, so porting v1 across seems a little pointless?
Anyway, extra stuff to get our hands on will be cool. Can't wait to see how much better the game will be when you can use the voice communicator :-)
