Laurent Blanc- "i'll sign an old muppet to replace stam, and when he plays crap i'll extend his contract"
Fabien Barthez-"i'll sign him, he's a muppet and should help us to concede more goals with his fumbling"
Diego forlan- "ill turn down maccarone one of the most promising young strikers in europe and sign a uraguayan who couldn't score for toffe"
Veron-Worst use of money ever- fergusons thoughts "the midfield aint broke, i think i'll try and fix it and waste 28 mill at the same time"
Rio ferdinand- 2nd biggest waste of money ever: "i could have Hofland, cannavaro, escude, mexes, for the same price and have one of the best defences in the world and a promising future but i'll buy just one player for my money and have no backup either"
Andy cole and Dwight yorke: "i have a good idea lets sell two class strikers for peanuts and not bother to replace them, that way we won't score"
I now have 3 strikers and have effectively killed of the youth policy, I can now pretend to sign a new striker and spurn the chance to sign rivaldo and nuno gomes on frees and just ignore Robbie keane for 7 million just incase we score some goals.
"Ah now the destruction of my team is nearly complete and there is little more i can do but play Phill neville and solskjaer in midfield. And then nobody not even Bolton wanderers can stop me from completing the destruction of my team". ****evil laugh****

The left side's a problem, P.Neville is a liability.

Crespo went for something in the region of £18 million.
To be honest we need a couple more players rather than 1 striker. We also need a decent fullback or a player who can play in many positions at the back.

United made a move for Rio just before the WC, Ferguson said that in an interview on MUTV that I watched and did offer £20 mil then however Leeds wanted £30 mil as he was quoted as saying, and this rumour was said to be in the summer, but their no. 1 traget was Rio so I doubt they would be able to afford him after that.
I believe they will sign someone in January deadline, if they need someone now they have to look to someone whose out of contract or on a free to able to sign him before the transfer window opens again.

Aye, perhaps it was before the Rio deal. Who knows...90% of these stories are BS.

Well I don't believe that story, simply because Utd were stumped to find at least £3 mil let alone £20 mil! They could not even off £4 mil for Escude! so they were trying to get him on a cheap for £1.5 mil!
