It portrays the SAS as a cross between spoilt schoolboys, bloodthirsty killers and maniacs.
Highlights *sarcasm*;
Ross Kemp's character hitting and knocking out a screaming female hostage he's just rescued.
Ross Kemp's character unloading a clip into a robber wose trying to surrender.
One character going all teary eyed when he's sees the medic wheel the bad guys out in body bags, after he's just shot a guy in the head earlier...
The SAS being called to a bank robbery.
The SAS being told to arrest people....
Nearly every character having a (in many cases fake) stiff english upper lip and classic "tally ho" accent.
And ton's more.........
Don't waste your time with this program, it was badly scripted, cliched, boring, stupid and had about as much in common with the SAS as I do.

Actually, this second episode wasn't quite as bad, here's the higlights;
*Basic plot was an anto globalisation group trying to assasinate a french guy because of his links to arms dealers and banking. What could have been a semi intelligent plot on the right's / wrongs of his actions was completely ignored.
* One SAS guy infiltrated the group as another infiltrators girlfriend (real SAS do not do this) so he could be the sniper and stop the group (Rubbish again, in reality one the group was found they'd just be pulled off the streets under the new Terrorism act....)
*At the end the controller woman for the SAS went charging in, promptly got shot after taking one woman down, sa sniper guy blows a whole through another. Ross Kemp and 2 more enter, shoot last guy down, then unload all three clips into him (couldn't helped laughing at sheer silliness of this)
* At end all the SAS guys go over to the women who was injured and basically stand talking to her joking about it whilst the smiles, clutching the injured arm with blood coming out of it...okay....
there were tons more stupid/inaccurate bits but I can't be bothered !

What the hell was that about!? What if she got a concussion or something and was injured, well he would be fired for sure.
> The SAS being called to a bank robbery.
Yeah, lol! What the hell are the armed police for? Crossing patrols?

Such as stealing almost everything to make it like the Iranian embassy siege.
Besides it was v.poorly done all round, other things that were wrong;
Everyone saying use "double taps" - that's the American method, SAS use full auto and spray targets with bullets.
In the kill house at the start, they burst in then stand over the bad guys and shoot them full of bullets, after already hitting the "heads" - they don't do this as the targets are already dead.
Ross Kemp's character telling them to cuff everyone before they go - this is standard for the SAS in hostage situations and he wouldn't need to tell them.
The SAS team sitting down to dinner in the hotel during the mission - they'd be in place or at least on the scene ready to move up to the bank should the bad guys start killing the hostages.
One character having a whine about whether he could kill someone - he'd really get through SAS pysch screening....not.
And there were more as well......

and then one of the commandos cry after he kills someone, WTF?
He didnt cry over the deadbank robbers, but the SAS man who was killed. If you had watched it properly you would have seen him radio in that there was a man down and you would have seen the blood squirting from his leg. He then sees the Medics with his dead SAS friend. So thats why he was crying for.
> I watched Ultimate Force last night, it was very good, thought Ross
> Kemp played his part well.
Agh..medic... *Belldandy falls off chair and collapses onto the floor in shock*
"Very good" ? OK.....but I reckon you are an ITV exec...:)
On another note, Ross Kemp cannot act unless he's playing an emotionless thug, erm...which is probably why he was in Ultimate Force.

Apart from The League of Gentlemen, I can't remember the last time I watched an original series on terrestrial tv. (The Office is cool, but strictly comedy based)
Sad thing is, I bet the viewing figures were in the millions for this drek.
Like mr happy says, I don't demand Chekov every night, just something a little more stimulating that "See actor walk! See actor talk! Talk actor talk!...and now some commercials for crap you don't need!"
*shakes head*

And I some how doubt the SAS would get called to bank robberies unless terrorists where involved, and then one of the commandos cry after he kills someone, WTF? I also read what's going to happen in the next episode; apparently one of the SAS troops has to infiltrate a terrorist group or something like that. That's not the job of the SAS, their soldiers not spies.
Meh, just another over hyped ITV program as usual. I don't think ITv have made a decent show since The Last Train, which was something original at least.
