Just thought you might like to know, today I got a black Gamecube, 8MB memory card, Super Smash Bros Melee, Spider-Man, Wave Race: Blue Storm, and a pack containing a 4MB memory card, a controller and a snazzy little wallet for storing Gamecube discs... all for £269.99. And for £34 extra, I took out a 5-year insurance, so if my 'cube should spontaneously combust, shed its' outer layers until only its' circuitry remains, or jumps out of window and smashes into teeny tiny pieces... I can go get a new one. Nicely!

I'm not whining, just laughing over the fact that for a few pounds more, you could've bought another GameCube game.

Answer to JD's question is: Comet.

And from that will you all shut the hell up about the insurance? I mean, consoles CAN break within 5 years. What's to say that it won't blow up tomorrow? Plus my mum payed for the insurance so why should I (or you lot) whine?

That's what I told Mark. After all, the insurance usually only covers faults with the machinery, not accidental (or intentional) damage, and unless there's a fault with the GameCube's system that wont let you play if after 2005 or something, then chances are that the only warranty you'll ever likely need to claim, if any, is the free warranty Nintendo give.

Chances are, by the time that 5 year insurace runs out in 2007, you'll be able to get a GameCube for less than £34 anyway.

What a waste of money!
I'm talking about the Insurance of course. ;)
I don't really see the point in it unless you're paying something £400 for the console alone. But hey... it's better to be safe than sorry.

And I didn't even know the 8mb Memory Cards had been released yet?
Or is it un-official??
