The Ring American remake did a lot better 7.4 while the original got oh the same lol 7.4 :)
Somehow my brother traveled into the future and got a copy of The Grudge, so I'll enjoy watching that later. I dont think any of you guys have seen it. Yet another Japanese remake. Still it has Buffy in it and I kinda have a thing for her.

Ok i did it for GCSE, i'll see what i can remember.
The audience is sort of supposed to be represented by him, he's the outsider as he's not a member of either family and can see things a little clearer as to how stupid the situation between the two families is and is the peacemaker if one exists, once he's dead all hell breaks loose as the play moves from romantic comedy to tragedy, the comedic aspect to the play dies with him.
His dying is a way of making sure the audience doesn't side with either family which would have happened if it had been someone from Romeos famliy( I forget which one) he's supposed to be likeable so the audience can empathise with the death of an innoncent and then take over that role of the outsider.
Thats all i can remember.
EDIT
And he's very, very gay although quite what purpose that serves i'm not sure, i vaguely remember being told a lot of the comedic roles by Shakespeare were the same, maybe a little propaganda.
That's why I'm trying again with a new router and letting it run in a standalone fashion.
